I'm Not An Angel
By ~Embrace The Madness... foREVer~

You made a mistake/On the day that you met me and lost your way/You saw all the signs/But you let it go/You closed your eyes/I shoulda told you to leave/Cause I knew all the time you couldn't handle me/But you're hard to resist/When you're on your knees/Begging me/I tear you down/I'll make you bleed eternally/Can't help myself/From hurting you when it's hurting me/I don't have wings/So flyin with me won't be easy/Cause I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/Hate being that wall/That you hit when you feel like you gave it all/I keep taking the blame/When we both know that I'll never change/I tear you down/I'll make you bleed eternally/Can't help myself/From hurting you when it's hurting me/I don't have wings/So flyin with me won't be easy/Cause I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/I wasn't always this way/I used to be the one with the halo/But that disappeared when I had my first taste/And fell from grace/It left me in this place/I'm starting to think maybe you like it/I tear you down/I'll make you bleed eternally/Can't help myself/From hurting you when it's hurting me/I don't have wings/So flyin with me won't be easy/Cause I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel/I'm not an angel…

I'm Not An Angel- Halestorm

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Today is October 25th 2013. The location, Huntington Beach California. It's the fourth anniversary of the first time the curly red-haired woman had come here, she hadn't gotten to meet any of the members of Avenged Sevenfold that time- Matt had just gotten married and wasn't in the country at the time. And tears pricked her hazel brown/green eyes as she turned to look at the building that she'd photographed all those years ago, drawn to it for some reason. She'd later found out that Jimmy had lived there, had maybe even been looking out a window at the beach as she took those pictures, though it was too far away to see from the Main Street Pier. Even then, she'd known, she'd just know, in that same sense of certainty that she'd known many things before, that if she didn't find him then, she wouldn't get to meet him ever. He'd died only two months later. Tomorrow she would visit his grave at Good Shepard Cemetery , but today, today was for the beach, even though it's over cast and a little bit windy. She doesn't mind, she just came to take pictures not go swimming. Her wore her essentially vintage now Vengeance University Laugh Now sweater on, because apparently she'd, in airhead fashion, forgotten to bring she other normal sweater and it was cold. She hated wearing her Vengeance or A7X gear here though, what if they saw her, and wrote her off as just another fan because of what she was wearing?
Rhiannon Murphy wasn't like the crazy obsessive ones, at least, she didn't think so; She only bought the VU stuff because she truly LIKED the designs not because it was made by her favorite band's rhythm guitarist. That last detail was just a bonus.
She was on vacation, getting away from her life, boring and retarded as it was. It was peaceful here, and she really liked it, even if the wind was making it a little cold, she didn't have a problem putting on more layers. She just needed to be here, away from her crazy soap opera of a life- it hadn't become any less of a soap when she'd moved from Wisconsin to Northern California nearly four years ago. So here she was in the town her favorite band lived in once again, knowing that she probably still wouldn't meet them this time, just as she hadn't that first time, let alone live anyone's dream of hooking up with one of their favorite members. Especially since her favorite member was now married with a small child. So the chances of that were, like, less than zero. A girl could hope though, right?
She'd been snapping pictures of the waves swelling, cresting, crashing and falling for what she considered about long enough and had packed up her stuff when this little black dog started yipping around her feet as if to get her attention. She knelt down in the sand, red curls tumbling down around her shoulders and scratched him behind the ears.
“Hi little guy, where's your owner?” She asked the little dog, and the dog took off as she tried to read the name tag. “Ah shit,” she muttered and ran after him for a while, chasing him here and there, laughing, until she finally caught him. “AHA! Gotcha little stinker!” She giggled to herself as she flipped the tag over and read the cute little guy's nametag.
Ichabod Crane Vengeance.
Oh my god, Zacky's dog? Was she really holding Zacky's dog?
“Hey Icky,” Rhiannon whispered, “Where's Zacky?” She suddenly became aware of a shadow blocking what little sun there was from behind her.
“Right here,” Zacky's familiar voice spoke and she turned around to see the black haired, green eyed man standing behind her with one hand in his pocket and the other holding a lit cigarette up to his mouth.
“Apparently I have your dog,” she held up the arm that cradled Icky, giving Zacky an innocent look and he nodded.
“I see that.”
“Do you frequently allow Icky to wander around the beach where strangers can pick him up?” She asked, her tone light and teasing, but her eyes promising that she hadn't been trying to steal him, really.
“Only if they're sexy strangers wearing VU gear,” he laughed and she blushed, her cheeks turning redder than they'd already been from the wind.
Rhiannon wasn't sure which part made her blush harder, the VU gear part or the fact that Zacky Vengeance just called her sexy. Either way, it didn't really matter, because his smile grew larger as he watched her face, and the wider his smile got, the redder her face got.
Zacky thought it looked adorable, the way she got so red, her eyes looking guilty, intrigued and panicked all at the same time. She had very expressive eyes, he thought. And he wondered what else he would see in those eyes in the next few minutes.
“So, can I have my dog back?” he asked and she nodded, her eyes almost sad as she handed him Icky. Zacky took the small dog as he nodded at her. “It was nice to meet you…”
“Rhia,” she told him, holding out her hand.
Zacky briefly wondered how he would shake her hand if he had his dog in one hand and his cigarette in the other, but the hesitation in her eyes made him make up his mind. He put out the cigarette quickly and took her hand, holding it in his own. “Rhia,” His eyes almost widened in shock at the way her name came out of his lips in something that sounded like a purr, even to his own ears. What the hell was that? “It was nice to meet you, I think Icky has a crush on you.”
He blurted the words out, trying to cover for whatever it was his brain was thinking. She didn't seem to buy it.
“Only Icky?” It slipped out of her mouth before she could stop it and as his eyebrows shot up in the air Rhiannon slapped her right hand over her mouth, embarrassment flooding through her, turning those cheeks bright red again, much to Zacky's amusement. Damn me, and my bad habit of saying what was really on my mind, she thought to herself as she struggled to figure out what to say to salvage the meeting before he took off. “Oh wow…” was what ended up coming out of her mouth, because her mind was drawing a complete blank.
“Nice,” he agreed, nodding with a grin. “You're blushing, and it's really cute.”
Rhiannon felt relief flooding her. Maybe he really was divorced and appreciated her horrible quasi-flirting. So she decided to just go with it and see what happened.
She opened her mouth and blurted out the next thing that popped into her head. Which turned out to be, “I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm really not so it would be a lie.”
She smirked and he grinned back at her again, apparently accepting her un-apology. Her breath slipped out of her lips in a sigh, and Zacky found himself staring at the cupid's bow on her top lip, which was quite pretty, if a little thin. And though they didn't match, her fuller lower lip looked like it could withstand quite a bit of sucking. Yeah, he could get used to sucking on that lip, and something told him she wouldn't say no if he just laid one on her right now. Not that he should, but he probably could. She was wearing his clothing line. That had to mean something. And it wasn't like he was married anymore, or even in a relationship anymore. Why shouldn't he enjoy himself a bit?
“Wanna walk with me for a bit?” He asked and she shrugged. He almost felt hurt by her un-enthusiastic response to his question. She made it seem almost like it didn't really matter to her if they went for a walk, even as her eyes lit up.
“Sure, why not?” She laughed and he smiled as she started walking down the beach.
He fell into step next to her, still carrying his naughty little dog. “You're not from around here,” Zacky observed, trying to think of what to say, how to make small talk.
She sighed, her shoulders slumping. “Is it that obvious?” She asked, frowning as if trying to figure out how he could tell she wasn't from around there.
“You have an accent.” Zacky offered in explanation and she frowned. Then her eyes lit up with mischief and she poked him in the arm.
“So do you, you also have a lisp.” She giggled, looking up at him as her eyes dared him to argue and it was HIS turn to blush.
Zacky's jaw dropped; astonishment evident on his face. “I so thought I outgrew that!”
“Sorry babe, it's really not that noticeable unless you have Zacky Vengeance fans for best friends who force you to watch things over and over again just to `make sure' he's got a lisp.” She explained, making air quotes with her fingers as she said make sure and he raised his eyebrows at her.
“Are you kidding?” He asked incredulously, and the red-head shook my head, red curls flying, glinting in the light. Dancing like flames, he thought. Her words brought him back from his fantasy of her dancing naked in front of his fireplace.
“I wish, but no, I'm dead serious Zack.”
He blinked as her words sank in. “I thought for sure you were one,” he said after a moment of thought and she giggled, shoulders shaking.
“Cause I'm wearing VU gear? Get real, I'm wearing it cause the design's awesome not cause you made it!” She laughed harder, “I mean, not that I don't think you're hot and all cause I do. But you're not my favorite band member, at least not most days.” She frowned, thinking about her favorite, and very married, band member.
“Who is?” Zacky demanded, horrified at the hot anger lancing through him that he wasn't her favorite member.
Rhiannon glanced up at his tone, catching the dark look in his eyes. “Why so you can kill him? Don't worry, I don't have a chance in hell with him, he's happily married to his high school sweetheart, perfect family complete with a presumably adorable son.” Her words came out in a whine, and she finished the sentence with that full lower lip protruding in a pout, her long lashes batting at him sensually.
“Oh damn, you like Matt.”
“Last I knew, you were also married, even if you're not wearing your ring anymore!” Rhiannon retorted, her hazel eyes flashing in irritation at his devastated expression. “So I don't see what the big deal is!”
“Actually, I'm not married anymore,” he informed her matter-of-factly with a nod to emphasize his words and was rewarded when eyes went wide, interest sparking even as she tried to hide it.
“Well, you guys are pretty private when it comes to your personal life so I'm not surprised I didn't know that. Should I say I'm sorry or should I congratulate you?” She tried not to smile and Zacky laughed.
“Well, I'm not gonna say that it didn't hurt but it's really a relief now.” He admitted and she gave him a mock look of horror, causing him to laugh harder. “You're really fucking cute, you know that?”
“I know, I hear it every day!” Rhiannon inflected conceit in her tone and pretended to primp making Zacky sigh.
“Oh god, she's an ego maniac!” He feigned horror and she stuck my tongue out at him. “Careful I might bite it.”
“Ooh, I dare you!” She challenged, eyes locked on his as she stuck it out again.
To her extreme shock and slight thrill he set Icky down and crossed the foot of space between them and captured her tongue between his teeth. Apparently, this is what she got for daring a rock star. Well, nice. She decided in half a second that she might as well take it as far as he'd let her, and pulled her tongue backward into her mouth as far as it would go. His mouth followed, resulting in not only their lips meeting, but her tongue sliding inside of his mouth.
She felt the cold metal of his snakebites press against her lips and she flicked her tongue as his teeth released it- still inside his mouth- his tongue flicked back as his fingers tangled in her mass of curls, hands cradling her head firmly. She was making out with Zacky Vengeance on the beach. How had this happened, and where would it lead?
She didn't know, but she knew in the span of a single heartbeat that she wanted, and would give almost anything, to find out.
So, this was originally written from a dream that ended as Zacky was sneaking up on me, thanks to a little dog barking and waking me up (come to think of it, the dog barking was probably what started the dream too). And so it got written down. I was reading through my old stuff today, and found this in a folder, so I went through and changed it from first person to third person, and added some descriptive detail (I'm so much better at that than I was three years ago), and here you have it. There is another chapter written for it already, that I'll just need to edit into third person to match if I continue it… But for now, I'm just going to post it as a one shot, in case I never get around to working out writing more, since I have so many dang blasted ideas and shit. But I figured… It's here… So I might as well post it for your reading enjoyment. Because I know how much my beautiful readers enjoy getting updates from me. Here's a little something old, yet made new, and never before read/posted. I hope you enjoy it.
