Watching. Waiting,
for you.

By bLAdeKilljoy6S

'It was cold, and the wind blew hard. But the smell, the smell is what got to me. The smell of
burning flesh was being carried in the wind. Their were bodies that littered the streets of her home
town. I couldn't help but choke on tears as I looked at all the familiar faces of the ones I knew,
covered in blood. Ones more so than others. Then I saw him, I stopped dead in my tracks, he stood
there watching me, watching me with sad eyes. He approached me.

"What happened?" I asked.

"The Rapture, it's coming... I have to get you out of here." he spoke softly as he cradled my face.

"So I was right?" I asked.

He nodded his head.

"But it happened for a reason, but for now. I know I need to keep you safe..." he spoke.

His green eyes caught my dark brown ones, he lowered his mouth to mine quietly sealing his love. He
wrapped his dark black wings around as, as if he was protecting me from what was about to come.'

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP BEE- *Smack*

"Fucking hell!" Rae screamed as there was a loud thud across the room.

I jumped and opened my eyes. Looking over at the other side of the room at my sister.

"Nice job, Grace." I muttered.

She picked a shoe off the floor and threw it at me, hitting me in the ribs.

"Fuck off..." I grumbled.

"Language." our mom said from the doorway.

"Yeah, language." our little sister Reese said beside her, clutching her teddy.

"Reese, go get ready now." our mother ordered.

Reese took off down the hall to her bedroom, slamming her door shut. I peeled myself off my bed,
shivering when the cool air met my skin. I walked over to Rae and I's closet opening the door,
pulling out a set of black skinny's, a loose fitting, dark blue tank, and a black jacket. I walked
out and set it on my bed.

"Is that what you're wearing to school?" our other little sister, Paige asked when she walked in the
room with her toothbrush in her mouth.

"Yes, yes it is." I stated.

Paige made a face of disgust and walked out. Rae chuckled from the other side of the room.

"What?"

"You're normally nice to them." Rae said.

"Yeah, well excuse me for not being little miss sunshine today."

Rae giggled as she slipped on her clothes, I began doing the same. We raced over to the vanity both
reaching for the same thing.

"I was here first!" Rae yelled trying to shove me out of the chair.

"No I was!" I yelled shoving her back.

I successfully shoved her down and flipped on the flat iron. I heard running and looked over, seeing
Rae tackling me to the ground.

"No, I win." she stated sitting in the chair.

I glared at her as I stole the lighted mirror and began doing my make up. When we were done we
switched and did the other. We grabbed our backpacks and walked downstairs, I set my backpack down
by the front door and walked into the kitchen, I pulled out a Mocha Starbucks coffee that sat in the
fridge and began to drink it, leaning against the side of the bar.

"So, who is it today?" Rae whispered when our mom and sisters were out of sight.

"That mean ass prep, Dahlia." I said.

"You actually sounded happy about that..." Rae suggested taking a sip of the same thing I had.

"Well I don't like her, but I don't want her to die... Y'know?" I stated.

She shrugged her eyebrows.

"Girls, brush your teeth, you gotta get to school."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." Rae and I said shutting the lids on our coffee and walking to the bathroom to
brush our teeth.

When we were finished we walked out towards the front door with our coffee in hand, then I saw our
mom looking through my back pack.

"What's this?" our mom asked holding up the paper, the list.

"Math homework." I lied.

"Why is there names?"

"People in my class." I lied again.

She nodded, she kissed us goodbye and headed out with our sisters. We grabbed our backpacks and
walked towards the garage, dumping them in the garbage cans.

"So, what do we do now?" Rae asked.

I shrugged.

"Well we're ditching, so what ever we want I guess."

Rae and I didn't ditch much, but after what happened yesterday, and what we think is going to happen
today, has really shaken us up.

"Wanna walk to that gas station down the road?"

We got up and walked outside, then I stopped. He stood there, watching us from a distance quietly.
Not moving at all, he knew, and he wanted so desperately to know why I knew...

"Rae..." I said getting her attention.

"Is that? No way... There is NO way he is here with- OhMiGod... Is that HIM too?!" Rae began to
freak.

"Rae." I said stopping her.

"What?"

"I had a dream last night, it was bad... Real bad... Everyone was dead, and for some reason, it was
because of us..."

She looked at me.

"What?"

"I think they're some type of Fallen Angels... I had some type of thing when we were in science
yesterday... I just- I couldn't tell if it was my imagination acting up again or what..." I said.

We turned back over to look, but they were gone. Rae turned back to look at me.

"So what? They're after us now?" she asked.

"I don't know, I'm not sure..."
