Name him Brian
By Revenge

Brian, who's dark brown locks were hidden behind a bandana and fedora, stood inside his home, staring rather blankly out the window. Small snowflakes fell from the skies, and onto the already thickly coated ground. He peered down towards the ends of his street, at the lack of people out. It was actually really beautiful...from the inside, that is. He huffed in a deep breath, then walked out, falling about knee deep into the snow. He shivered, then kept walking through it, ruining it's perfection. He slammed his hands into his pockets to keep his warmth, and continued on his frigid and slow moving journey down the street, and heavens knows how much farther.

Staring out a window, in the high confines of a top floor bedroom, was a girl, her red hair was brighter then a blossoming red rose, and eyes who could compare to the sky at it's clearest. She sipped at a beige colored mug, that was filled with chocolate milk, the most delectable thing on such a snowy day. She sighed contently as she stared upon the snow that fell. Then her eyes wandered over to the small and empty, cat bed. She frowned and looked back out the window. Her eyes narrowed as she spotted a tall figure walking through the high piles. She squinted a bit more, as she focused on the familiar looking high-cheekbones.

“Brian?...” She said softly to herself, then ran towards her stairs and then door. She set the mug at the window sill, and open the door, getting smacked with the wintry air. Her barely covered arms and legs, no where near prepared for the breeze, and little bits of snow that flew in. “Brian?!” She yelled, eyes wide.

Brian, who was shivering, looked up and smiled big. “Raven!”

The red-head, Raven, smiled at her nickname, but shook her head quickly. “What are you doing?!” She yelled, then ran to her living room for a blanket, then quickly ran back. Brian was slightly closer, and his shaking looked even worse then from a distance.

She tilted her head a little, as she stared at a huge soft looking roll that was tucked in Brian's cradled arms. Brian came to the door step and smiled, his cheeks looking burnt. “Hi...” He said shakily. “Can...I come in?” he said with a laugh, that rung like a symphony in her ears.

“Of course!” she said, pulling him in, shutting the door behind him. She tossed the blanket over his shoulders. “What are you doing Brian? Are you crazy?” She asked hysterically, running towards her kitchen.

Brian laughed softly watching her short self, run about the kitchen. “I um...needed to come and see you Raven...” he said softly, looking down at the shifting roll in his arms. He cleared his throat a little.

“Brian, I love seeing you. I do, but you couldn't wait for the roads to be cleared?” She looked over at him, her clear blue eyes, giving him some sort of analyzing look. “Or you couldn't have worn, something a bit more warm?”

Brian laughed rolling his eyes. “I didn't think it'd take me long to get here! Sheez!” He said with a laugh.

She rolled her eyes, tossing a mug of chocolate milk into a microwave. “You can sit in the living room, Bri....lemme just make you something warm to drink.”

Brian watched her, and smiled admiringly at how caring she was. “Thanks...” He said softly, slipping his numb feet out from his Nike's then walked over to the living room. He tossed himself on the couch and unwrapped the roll in his arms. A cute white furry head popped out, with an orange splotch covering it's right ear. It's eyes were like beautiful light green jewels. The kitten, looked about curiously then at Brian. Brian smiled petting it's furry and warm head, a low purr coming from it. Brian smiled, then slowly placed it onto the carpet. The kitten curled out of the blanket roll, and went about exploring the living room.

Raven, walked in quietly holding her and Brian's cup of chocolate milk. “Alright, come drink it. I want you to warm up or you'll get frost bite!” She said sternly, holding the mug out to him.

Brian laughed softly, taking it, and cooing at warmth that nestled his palms. He hummed then took a sip, fluttering his eyes shut, enjoying the unnumbing liquid.

A gasp, startled Brian out of his haze. He opened his eyes and looked around, eyes wide. His chocolate brown eyes, landed on Raven's shocked expression. Brian followed her gaze, then grinned when it fell on the kitten that gnawed at the blanket it was once cuddled in. “It's so cute!” She squealed, setting the mug aside and gently grabbing the kitten in her hands. She cooed holding it close to her face, then couldn't help but nuzzle it gently. The kitten purred happily, it's small tail sliding slowly to the sides.

“What's it's name?” She said softly, cradling the kitten in her arms.

Brian laughed softly, drinking his chocolate milk. “That's for you to decide...”

Raven quickly shot him a look.

Brian choked on his drink, and swallowed desperately before beginning to laugh. Raven continued to stare at him, her expression unchanging. “Brian...” She said after a while.

Brian chuckled and gave a nod, slowly dimming down his laughter. “What?”

She rolled her eyes a little. “Brian...what's it's name...”

Brian sighed, sitting up, shifting his numb ass a little. “That's for you to decide, Raven.” He said with a smile. Raven stared at him blankly. Brian began to laugh once more, before scooting next to her. “He is for you...” He said softly.

Raven looked at the now sleeping kitten in her arms. She cooed and looked at Brian. “R-really?”

“Yeah...I remember when you told me about how your cat kicked the bucket after 14 years, a couple of days ago...and...I knew you loved your I got you a baby one...” He said softly, giving her a puppy dog look.

She squealed. “Brian...that's so sweet of you...Thank you so much...” She said softly, so not to wake up the kitten. She wrapped one arm around Brian, in a hug, then kissed his cheek.

“Wow, I think that did the trick.” Said Brian with a grin.

Brian laughed. “I don't feel cold anymore.”

Raven laughed, and threw him a delicate punch to the shoulder. “Sweet...”

Brian smiled, and brought up the kitten's blanket. Raven placed him in slowly, then wrapped him up like a little burrito. Brian smiled watching as she placed him on the opposite couch for himself. She scurried back to his side and gave him a bigger hug. Brian hugged back.

“Thanks so much Brian..”

Brian smiled. “No problem, Raven...”

She plopped herself down by his side and sipped at her chocolate milk, staring at Brian's eyes. Brian looked at her lifting his eyebrow. “What?” He said chuckling.

“What should I name him?”

Brian shrugged a little. “I don't know...something cool though.”

Raven rolled her eyes, with a grin, but stopped as she watched Brian shivering beneath the blanket. “You still cold?”

Brian laughed a little and shook his head. “ Cold? No” He laughed again.

Raven grinned, stealing his mug away and setting it on the floor. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged tightly. Brian watched her with a smile, then wrapped some of the blanket around her. “Jeez really are freezing...”

Brian gave a nod and a whimper, bringing her in closer. “Yeah, I know...” He whispered back. He ran his nubby fingers through her luscious red locks, carefully. She shivered slightly at his motion, then snugged her head in closer to his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat.

“You like your present?” He asked casually, twirling some of her strands in his index finger.

“I loved it, Brian.” She looked up at him with a grin. Brian looked at her, his thin lips curled up in a sweet child-like smile. She stared at his lips, that seemed to be slightly pale. She giggled a little. “Your lips...”

He tilted his head a little. “What of them?” He puckered them, trying to get a view of them. Raven laughed watching him.

“They're all...discolored...” She tried holding back a smile. “And...yeah...”

Brian looked at her, still smiling. “How do they feel?”

Raven opened her mouth, confused, but was shut up when his cold lips pressed against her warm ones. Their lips parted together lightly, and Raven couldn't help but laugh a little. “Cold...

Brian laughed softly, but kept them hovering along hers. “Warm them?”

Raven grinned. “Happily...” She pressed her lips against his and kissed softly. She could feel some blood rushing to her cheeks, and the butterflies in her stomach being let loose. Brian sighed softly, his lips beginning to warm. “Warm enough?” She said slightly out of breath, hers and Brian's lips bruised from the sweet kisses.

Brian thought for a moment. “You tell me?” Raven laughed softly and kissed him one more time with a smile, then opened her eyes and looked at him.

“They're pretty warm...” She said tenderly.

Brian watched her and smiled. “Thanks for warming them...” He whispered.

She giggled, her cheeks warming again. “My pleasure...”

Brian chuckled running his fingers once more through her hair. Their eyes still not leaving the others. Brian bit into his lower lip a little, then inhaled deeply. “Rae?” He said, shortening her name once more.

She hummed in response. “Hm?...”

“Be my girlfriend?” He whispered dazed, staring at her light blue eyes.

She cooed and gave a nod. “Yes, I'd love to...”

Brian smiled sweetly and gave her one small, sweet kiss. “Perfect...”

She gave a nod and dug her head into his chest. “Mhm...”

After a moment of silence, Brian chuckled. “I think I've got a name for him...”

Raven lifted her brow. “Yeah?”

Raven laughed softly, lifting her head to stare at him. “You and your ego.” She said with a roll of her eyes. Brian laughed, swinging his head back.
