Make It Stop
By Revenge

“Hey! Stop!” Yelped a tender voice. The tender voice came from plump lips, that were pulled down in a frown. The boy watched desperately, as huge jocks held him back viciously.

While another group of jocks dug around his bag and ripped apart his notebooks, and beautiful artwork that were once tucked neatly into a folder. The boy cried lightly. “Would you cut it out!! I haven't done anything to you guys!” He cried, his raven black hair swinging into his porcelain, pale face. His emerald green eyes, were moist as they watched.

“Shut the fuck up faggot.” Growled one jock holding him back. One jock stopped and stared at one piece of artwork. He lifted his brow slightly, then kept digging through then laugh.

“Such a fucking queer. He has drawings of some guy in here...He's a stalker too!” All the jocks roared out laughing, ripping apart most of the drawings.

The raven haired teen bit his lips quietly, turning his head away not able to watch the hurricane destroy his everything. The jocks, suddenly dropped him, and kicked at him viciously, yelling at him. And after what felt like an eternity, left him in the midst of the mess in the bathroom.

The raven haired teen cried softly, curling into a ball alone. He wiped his eyes, staring at his bookbag. He quickly walked towards it, and picked up a couple of drawings that at least looked half decent. He cried more, tossing what he'd just picked up back down and ran out, into the crowded halls of his school.

One tall figure, with beautiful cheek bones, watched him eyes wide. “Zack!” He called but the raven haired teen continued to run. The tall figure, ran his fingers through his disheveled hair, then walked towards the bathroom Zack was once in. He stared at the wreckage of papers on the floor, then knelt slowly picking up the pieces. He stared at one picture, that remained untouched.

In beautiful all capitals, was a name. “Brian.” then just close to it, was a detailed drawing of the teen himself. The hollows of his cheeks put in perfectly, the way his hair looked when slicked back, and the small vein that would run thick in his neck. Brian frowned, then placed everything into the bookbag. He inhaled and swung it over his shoulder and made his way out of the bathroom.

Meanwhile, Zack burst through his household door and cried. He collapsed onto his knees crying. His cries of course, echoed through out his empty home. Zack pounded his fist into the floor upset. Of course no one is home. Of-fucking-course. He thought sadly. He sighed and laid himself completely on the floor.

~About 2 hours later~

Brian, quietly walked down a street, Zack's bookbag delicately graced on his shoulder. He stared at the two floor regal home, but slowly stopped as his eyes wandered towards the open backyard. Zack marched his small and chubby stature towards a noose, hanging from the high oak tree. Zack slapped a chair beneath it and began to climb onto it. Brian's eyes widened, but he found himself frozen in placed, as his friend began to slip the noose past his head. As it touched his neck, Zack tightened it, and gulped lightly, beginning to feel the noose bruise his delicate skin. He inhaled one last breath, before kicking the back of the chair away, his body suddenly hanging in thin air by the mere rope.

“Zack! No!!” Yelled Brian, dropping everything and running towards him, his ice-like state quickly gone at the wake of his friend dying before him. Zack's eyes wandered over and he shook his head, his lungs desperate for air. Brian quickly brought up the chair and stood, lifting Zack up for the noose to loosen. Zack gasped but struggled in Brian's grip desperately tears streaming down his face.

“No! Goddammit Brian!” He yelped, trying to push him away with no use.

“Stop Zack! Stop struggling!” Yelled Brian, his eyes moistened, his voice shaky. “Get that fucking noose off! Now!!” He yelled lifting him up more.

Zack cried, straining his neck up. “Okay...” He cried, lifting his arms weakly then working on loosening the noose. He slid it up over his head, and gave out some sort of cry of relief. He wrapped his arms over Brian quickly, crying. “Help me please...” He whipered.

Brian cried lightly hopping off the chair, holding him firmly to his chest. “Zack...what were you thinking...” He said softly, as he sat in the grass with him.

Zack cried into his chest shaking his head. “Brian...I hate it...I hate it so much. I hate being a queer. I just want to be normal...like those guys, like you...I hate being gay! I fucking hate it!” He growled, tightening his fists in Brian's purple v-neck.

Brian brought him closer, shoving his face delicately into Zack's raven hair. “Zack...don't say that...You should love who you are...”

Zack shook his head, puckering his lips. “No Brian...I hate myself...I hate having to put up with this! I just want it to stop.” He cried. “I'm always gonna be dubbed as the faggot of the school. As the queer. I'm never gonna be liked. I'm never gonna find someone to love me. Because I'm worth shit! Everyone says that, Brian! And it's true! I'm pathetic!”

Brian shook his head quickly. “Zack stop please. That's not true-”

“Prove it Brian!” Yelled Zack viciously, pulling away from him.

“Would you just shut up for a second!” Yelled Brian back. Zack stared in complete shock. “Zack...listen to me. I'm your friend, you've called me your friend. You've called me your best friend. Now as your best friend...you have to listen to me. Okay?” Said Brian, his voice softening

Zack stared then he gave a nod.

“Zack...you're amazing the way you are. You're beautiful. Do you hear me? Beautiful. No guy, has ever looked as amazing as you. No one, has the personality or understanding you have. Zack, you have to be proud of who you are, because you're a wonderful person! Those people...they don't know who you are. Because they fail to see past a cover. They fail to see past rumors and stupid shit. Zack, you are beautiful. And you can't go and do this, because you're worth it. And Zack...it will get better. Okay?”

Zack stared at him in utter awe, his eyes becoming doughy. “You mean that, Brian?...”

“Yes, Zack. Of course I mean it. I've told you, so many times I am here for you. You gotta tell me when this is happening Zack, because you know I'll be by your side at every moment...I'll defend you.” Whispered Brian softly, his breath lightly caressing Zack's plump lips.

Zack stared, small tears trickling down his cheeks. “Brian...thank you!” He cried wrapping his arms around his neck, hanging on tightly.

Brian wrapped his arms around his waist. “Don't thank me Zack...you don't have to...” He whispered softly, kissing Zack's temple.

Zack shivered slightly, his eyes glancing towards the noose. He clamped his eyes shut, and tightened his grip around Brian's neck. He sighed quietly as he felt the small butterfly kisses, being placed gently along his temple and cheek. He looked up quickly at Brian, and stared at his thin lips.

Brian smiled watching Zack's eyes, that were so focused on his lips. Brian laughed softly, then placed a kiss on Zack's lips. Zack's eyes widened, his mouth opening up. Brian's eyes hazed in delight at Zack's awe stricken face. Zack smiled then placed a tender kiss on Brian's lips, then nuzzled his head deep into Brian's neck.

Brian sighed softly, bringing him in closer, glancing at the horrifying noose, only a couple of feet away. Brian shook his head, then placed his head on Zack's. “Zack...beside the fact of the current situation...would you please do me the honor, of being my boyfriend?” He asked softly into his ear.

Zack sighed softly, tightening his arms around his neck. “Yes...” He whispered, and shut his eyes enjoying the sweet and warm embrace. Brian smiled shutting his eyes.

“One more thing?” he whispered back

“Yeah?” Whispered Zack back.

“Don't you ever...ever try hurting yourself again...Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem...” He kissed the top edge of Zack's ear

Zack smiled a little. “Promise you'll always be by my side?”

Forever

Author's Note:
Just a one-shot, inspired by the current It Gets Better Project. Found out about it while
I watched the Make It Stop music video by Rise Against. Guys, if you don't like them go look
at the video. It's heart breaking, and brought me to tears. Or check out the foundations sight:
ItGetsBetter.org ….It's really great guys. It's about teens who are gay that have killed themselves
because of bullying. They're trying to help stop it. There are some beautiful videos of people out
there who are gay themselves and even straight who are supporting this foundation. Including,

Vinny from Jersey Shore which, was a huge surprise to me. And hey, if you don't like Rise Against
but want to see a video, check out Nothing To Lose by Billy Talent. That video doesn't have a
happy ending and isn't about gays, but regardless, it's amazing.

Guys, seriously. I'm just going all out on this but...if you see someone getting bullied, stand up
for them. It makes the difference. I've stood up for people, and it's made a difference. Don't stand
by and watch. You could be watching someone at the point of suicide and not know it. Give
the song/video a listen. You won't regret it.
Sincerely, Revenge.
