Waves crashed along the sands, that were slowly being warmed by the rising sun. A soft sigh filled
the peaceful solitary shore. The soft sigh came from the curled lips of a girl. Her green eyes
following the waves, as they slowly danced to her toes and curled around them, then slid back to
it's home. She smiled a little, watching the new shells that were left.
She fidgeted a little, wrapping her small arms around her legs, dipping her head into the small
crook between her knees. She shut her eyes and let out one more sigh as she allowed herself to dive
into deep thought...
Coming towards her from the boardwalk, was a slightly chubby figure. His skin was pale, almost like
porcelain, flawless too. He had black shorts to his knees on, and a white wifebeater, giving his
pale skin, a less snowy look. He fidgeted a little holding something behind his back. He huffed his
swinging raven hair, away from his emerald eyes, and continued to approach the girl.
“Hey Alex.” He said with the softest of tones.
The girl, Alex, jumped slightly, her brown locks swinging around with her, as she looked back at
him. She smiled, gazing at his slightly pink cheeks. “Hey Zack...” She said in almost a
whisper, then gazed back at the ocean. Her heart jumping in her rib cage.
“I er...um...I uh came to say sorry.” He said with a bite of his pierced lip.
She lifted her brow and looked at him. “Say...sorry?” She said sincerely confused.
He laughed a little, looking away from her and to the ocean. His flawless chubby cheeks, becoming
“Oh gee, Zack. It is about time you said sorry. You've done so much wrong, that
I've even contemplated not being your friend.” She said, sarcasm almost dripping from her
He laughed and rolled his eyes, looking back at her. “Yeah, Alex. Sorry. I'm here to reconcile
“Reconcile?...Uh Zack...You haven't done anything wrong.” She said with a laugh.
“Yeah I did!” He squawked, turning himself completely to face her.
She jumped a little startled, and stared her brow still lifted. “Um...yeah sure...when?”
“The other day in school!” He whined, letting out some sort of cry.
She skimmed his face, as she thought, then shook her head slowly.
“I...in phys ed! I..threw that basketball at you....And you got hurt! And you were all pissed
at me!” He said, becoming very antsy.
Alex stared at him, her expression becoming serious and scary. Zack stared for a moment but averted
his eyes. He inhaled and looked back at her, waiting for some sort of response. A minute went by of
silence. Zack gulped. “A-alex?...”
“Are...you serious?” She said after a moment.
“...Zack....” She said, gritting her teeth
“Oh God, Alex. Please, don't be mad. I'm really sorry. Like...like...I'm really sorry.
I mean it! I mean it like a whore sucking dick! That's how much I mean it!” He said almost
Alex giggled softly and scooted up onto her knees, to get at least some height over Zack.
“Zack...when have you ever seen me mad?” She said earnestly.
“A for reals mad?...Never...'cept with the basketball thing...” Said Zack beginning to
pull out his pout.
“You said it yourself, you've never seen me, a for reals mad...Why would the basketball
incident be any different? I was messing with you Zee!” She said with a chime.
Zack stared a little then looked down at the sand. “You were kidding?”
“Yeah!” She shouted happily, flailing her arms into the air.
Zack looked at her and smiled. “Thank god...I was sure you were never gonna be my friend
again!” He admitted, with a relieving roll of his eyes.
Alex giggled once more and turned herself back to her original position, and stared out to the
ocean. “I love when the sun is coming up...cause it's not super hot this early...and It's not
super cold...It's this nice spring feeling...And the waves aren't vicious or anything like they are
in the afternoon with the surfers...It's very...serene and quiet. Really relaxing. I mean, can you
imagine flying a kite, right now? That'd be pretty!” She said, almost with no end.
Zack chuckled softly, watching as her green eyes began to shine in excitement, like a child's. He
smiled, and pulled out the hidden item from his back. It was a soft, fluffy teddy bear, with a
purple bow around its neck.
“Um Alex...I got this for you...” Zack said softly, looking at her.
She looked quickly at him, then down at the teddy bear, for one moment her eyes shimmering with more
happiness-if that's possible-. She glared at Zack, and Zack stared at her, his lips parted slightly.
“Wh-what?” Stuttered Zack, still holding the teddy bear.
“I don't like bears.” She said bluntly, with a quirk of her brows.
Zack stared at her and sighed. “Shit I knew it! I fucking knew it! I saw the bear, and then I
saw this cute fluffy fucking lion and I'm like. Bear, Lion? Bear, or Lion? And I chose the bear.
Fuck...I can go return it. I swear! I'll get you the lion! It has a blue bow though, not purple...I
kind of chose the bear cause I thought the purple was sexy on its fur...and I want purple in my hair
when I get older...I...I'll return it I swear Alex!”
Alex giggled softly, placing her hands on her lips. “Zack...kidding...I was kidding...I love
the bear!” She squealed, snatching the teddy from his hands, and squeezing it between her
arms. She cooed softly at how fluffy he was, and how soft his fur felt against her skin.
Zack laughed softly. “I..should've known! You're just so good at being mad...” He
She laughed and lunged at him, smoldering him into a hug. He huffed surprised at the sudden attack
but quickly wrapped his arms around her hourglass waist, and nuzzled his head into her neck. She
giggled softly as she felt his warm breath hit her neck. Zack couldn't help but join in her soft
laughter. He pulled back a little to look at her face. She held one of the biggest smiles he knew.
It's the first thing he ever noticed about her, her bubbly personality and how she could smile all
Alex stared at her, her smile only widening and her cheeks gaining a red shade. Zack cooed at her
cheeks, then brought his face a little closer to hers, their foreheads now pressed against each
others. Alex sighed happily, her arms still wrapped tightly along his neck, her eyes closed as she
“Alex?” Whispered Zack, his husky mint breath colliding along her upperlip, sending
chills through her spine.
“Can...can I kiss you?” He asked shyly.
Alex's lips parted a little in shock, then shut back. Then gave a slow nod. She than felt warm lips
touch hers, and kiss them tenderly. Her heart flipped about in her ribcage and it was like a million
butterflies were set loose in her stomach. She pressed her lips back against his, and parted them
slowly, kissing him back softly.
The two pulled apart after the peck, and stared at the other tenderly. Alex opened her mouth to
speak, but no words would come out. Zack chuckled softly, his cheeks brightening like fire, as he
began to feel more shy.
“Will you be my girlfriend?...” whispered Zack after a moment.
Alex smiled wide, and tackled him over squealing. “Yes! Of course!” She yelped and
pressed her lips against his soft, fluffy cheeks. “Yes!”
Zack laughed, tightening his wrap around her waist. “Thank you...”
Alex laughed softly and gave quick nods, huddling into his neck. “That's..so cute...”
“What is?” He asked puzzled.
“You...you said Thank you...” She giggled once more, nuzzling her head as much as she
could into his neck.
Zack laughed softly, as he got the tickles than shrugged. “Well...I'm really happy you said
yes...I can't lie...” He admitted.
“It's cute...” She said once more, relaxing in his arms.
He smiled as he stared up at the pinkish sky. “Thanks...” he mumbled with a laugh.
Alex only grinned, and shut her eyes. The butterflies in her stomach still flying about.
A sudden gasp broke from Zack's lips, startling Alex out of her mind, that's when it hit her too.
She yelped and squealed as cold ocean water smashed against her right side. She quickly rolled off
and with her teddy, and tried crawling away. Zack laughed and rolled onto his knees and followed
“That was so cold!” She yelped, sitting farther away. Zack laughed and sat behind her,
bringing her into his chest.
“Totally...” He said softly.
Alex sighed happily once more, bending back into his chest. “This is...our spot
Zack gave a nod of agreement. “Forever?”
She nodded and laughed. “and ever!”
