Brian' Confession...
By Hallie Vengeance

A/N:

Hello everyone!! Sorry it took so long! I'm really sorry about that, but a couple of my dog's pups had parvo and I had to take care of that and I've had to clean up the house and bleach everything.

But here it is! Chapter 3!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Alex's POV

I awoke to the sight of hardwood floors, as I lifted my head I saw black walls with dark purple trim. There was a large bed with purple satin sheets to one side of the room, but no windows. I trembled slightly at the realization of where I was, but I wouldn't let my fears show. I heard heavy footsteps coming from a dark set of steps. I quickly put on a stone fa?ade unable to do anything else I simply waited. As he stepped down the last step my jaw clenched at the sight of the god sent man before me.

“What do you want from me?”

He merely looked away from me. I thought I saw sadness in his beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

“I'm just doing my job, darling.”

“If it's the damn money you want then fucking take it!”

He sighed and began removing me from my restraints. I sighed with relief as I slid down the wall rubbing my sore wrists. I quickly dug the money out of my skirt and shoved it in his chest. I didn't run, but I couldn't tell you why, but I felt as if I could trust him. I stood before him awaiting my fate. Instead of actually taking the money he simply put it in my hands, I was officially confused.

“Come on darling. I have a surprise for you.”

I nodded dumbly as I followed him up the steps. When we came to stop I realized I was in a lounge room. I merely stood silently awaiting his next request.

“You look frightened Alex, what's bothering you?”

“What BOTHERING me?? I'M IN A STRANGE HOME WITH A MAN THAT WANTS TO KILL ME!!”

I screamed in frustration at him, I didn't know what else to do. I was in a strange place with a man I didn't know and he just so happened to want to kill me! He really expected me to be calm? Seriously?

Brian's POV

I made my way back to the basement to take my angels life when I saw her, awake, and looking at me. I sighed silently as I looked into her fear filled eyes. I shook my feeling of guilt away as I walked closer to her shaking frame. I knew she was trying to hide it, but I knew she was so afraid of me...

“What do you want from me?!” She screamed, I could hear the paralyzing fear in her sweet voice. I turned away as the sadness filled my eyes, I couldn't let her see the hesitation.

“I'm just doing my Job, darling.”

“If it's the damn money you want then take it!”

I sighed unable to answer her I merely began taking off the painfully tight straps that tethered her body to the wall. I let my light touch linger on her skin a second longer than I had intended, but she didn't seem to notice. She rubbed her wrist for a moment before shoving the near three hundred dollars in my chest. I shook my head and slid it back into her hands. I wanted to prove I wouldn't hurt her. I couldn't.

“Come on darling. I have a surprise for you.”

She nodded as I led her into the lounge I would leave her with Zack for a while. He could calm her down a bit.

“Hello my sweet.” Was all I heard before I found myself in the kitchen digging out a sandwich, apple, and water, I made my way back into the living room. Zack began up the stairs no doubt to check on his victim. I knew he wouldn't kill her. He was the one that actually had a heart in our little group. I handed her the food and sat next to her, finally realizing how strikingly beautiful she really was.

“I'm not going to hurt you. I can't.... I've never killed anyone before...”

Alex's POV

I gasped quietly at his confession. `Then why was I here?' I thought to myself. I stared at him with wide, dark eyes.

“Then what the hell am I doing here?”

I had to know, I watched him carefully while sipping down some of my water. He knew he had to answer me...

What the hell is he thinking? Why can't I read him? Why aren't I bolting out of here like the devil went on leave? How can I trust this... Stranger?

“I'm supposed to kill you.... But I can't... I don't know why, I just can't.”

I had no idea what to say so I nodded in reply. This man... Who was he? I felt a familiar pang in my chest as I watched a single tear roll down his cheek. What the Hell had I gotten myself into?
