I'm Yours.
By SteffiSevenfold

It looks so beautiful. The green, green leaves in the distance. The bright yellow-white sun shining in brilliance beyond it, peeking and shining through the breaks in the leaves every once and a while. The blue sky, pale yet somehow striking. Hardly a single cloud filters the sky of its radiance. The breeze, cool compared to the warmth of the sun that shines on my pale skin, is keeping my body at the perfect temperature. Nothing is frightening. Everything is perfect. This will never end.

And as soon as I think it, it ends.

It's not as beautiful as I imagine it to be. The green leaves have a brown tint to it, even this I can see in the distance with the help of the blinding white sun beyond it. I raise a pale hand to shield the brightness of it. The blue sky has a sad tint of grey in it, streaking through the few white clouds and marking them stormy. The breeze, indeed cool compared to the warmth of the sun, a bit too frigid and nips at my skin, makes my thin black tee shirt ripple.

This wouldn't be frightening, maybe would be perfect even, if you were still here.

I've never seen a day like today. I've never seen such a mix of beauty and dread, like a strange limbo, unsure weather or not to turn stunning or dreary. Is every day like this, just I couldn't see it because your strong hand held mine? Or was every day just as beautiful as I can imagine it when your strong hand held mine. I'll never know now, unless you come back down to me.

Come back down to me?

This is a plea from the mortal, a single, sullen, solitary cry. Show me how the world should look. Touch these tired eyes of mine and guide me the way to rightness. Show me that you weren't the only beauty in this grey, dull world. It's a sad place if the only beauty is taken away. You're the only angel in my life.

The day the news came, my best friend, my boyfriend, died, everything went black. Or else, it seemed black to me.

Beauty gone.

Solace destroyed.

Life ruined.

That day, my knees went weak and you saw me cry. You've seen me cry before. You told me that my emerald eyes reflected in each tear that dropped. Does the emerald still reflect in the clear salt water? The perfect sized, perfect shaped droplets flowing gracefully down my pale, smooth cheeks? I see it grey, cloudy like everything in this world seems to be.

Come back down to me.

This is a command from the mortal, a single, sullen, solitary order. Come down and show me that this world is the place I've grown to know and to love. Tell me like you used to, that I'm still a soldier in your eyes. You are the only beauty.

In this dismal world, I'm yours.

In this gloomy haven, you're mine.

And I will see beauty again.

Had this fic up a while ago and I forgot why I took it down.

But here it is again.
