Memories
By Kris

As soon as it was announced that Wings would be touring the United States, I knew that I had to
get tickets. Somehow, someway I was going to get tickets. I was a huge Wings fan and it just so
happened that Jimmy McCulloch was my favorite guitarist ever and of course he was in Wings so I was
dying for a chance to see Wings live. A couple of months before the tour began, it was my girlfriend
Jen and my anniversary and she had the biggest surprise for me. She had bought 2 front row seats to
the Wings concert at the Seattle Kingdome on June 10! She is the best girl a guy could ever have! As
the concert date drew near, my excitement was growing by the second. Jen had never been to a concert
before and I was proud to be taking her to a Wings concert. Finally, the day of the concert arrived.
Jen and I arrived at the Kingdome early and it was packed! We waited outside for what seemed to be
hours and finally it was time to go inside. I had brought my camera along to take some pictures and
I got a poster, shirt and program and Jen got a program and refreshments then we headed to our
seats. Then suddenly "Sittin' in the stands at the sports arena waiting for the show to begin...."
the crowd just exploded! Venus & Mars/Rockshow/Jet was really rocking. I waited patiently for when
it was Jimmy's turn to sing Medicine Jar and as the last chord of Spirits Of Ancient Egypt ended, I
told Jen that Jimmy was next! "Well we'll stick with the shuffle, shuffle rythm as they say, the
shuffle rythm. This here is Jimmy McCulloch." "Yeah... do another one from the Venus and Mars album.
This one's called Medicine Jar." Then Jimmy went into Medicine Jar. I took alot of pictures and was
singing along. After Jimmy was finished, I screamed "Good Job Jimmy! You kick ass!" He looked over
my way and gave me a grin. The rest of the concert was smokin' hot and Jen enjoyed every minute of
it as well. After the show, I told Jen that I wanted to stick around and see if I could maybe meet
Jimmy. We looked at the stage as the roadies were cleaning up and as we were looking at Paul's
guitars, suddenly Linda came out and Jen called out "Linda! Linda! Over here!" She came over to us
and asked us how we liked the concert and we said it was the best concert that we've ever been too!
Linda smiled and said thanks alot. I then asked Linda where Jimmy was and she seemed shocked. "You
mean you aren't going to ask me where Paul is?" "No," I said laughing, "Jimmy's my favorite
guitarist ever and I am dying to meet him. "I'll go see where he is, wait right here." Linda said as
she went off to find Jimmy. Jen, seeing my excitement told me to calm down and breathe in, and
breathe out. Suddenly I saw Jimmy come out with Linda. Jimmy said to me, "Hey there, I heard that
you're my biggest fan." I couldn't say anything, I was so shell shocked and then Jen butted in and
said "Oh believe me...he is! He is your biggest fan!" Jen said. Jimmy saw my Wings Over America
program and he kindly autographed it for me and Jen took a picture of that. Then Linda, snapped a
couple of pictures of Jimmy, Jen and I and then sadly, they said they had to leave because they had
a concert the next day. Jimmy, you are the best man. Jen and I recently married and we have two
beautiful kids. A daughter named Diana (named after Jen's favorite artist Diana DeGarmo) and a son
named Jimmy (named after Jimmy McCulloch.)
