Mislead Desire
By Blkwidow77

Well, look at that. The insanity of it all just keeps rolling! LOL

What can I say? I have no luck at all in romance.

Or perhaps it's more to say... I subconsciously sabotage it?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mislead Desire

I'll be the first one to admit

The first to shout

That I made that mistake

The last one to say it, too

Echoing as I bang my head

On the wall

A lioness cannot hope to

Purr against a silky soft sheep

Lick it in misfortunate mislead desire

And expect the hunger to abate

Instinct to not kick in

So that I'll still find him

Breathing safely beside me

In the morning

Unharmed

Unmarred

Eyes still alive

Not glassy

Like others before

My little lamb

And what good is one

That certainly will frighten easily

When I'm always always

In danger

Hunted

When the world tries so hard to

Bury me alive and screaming

I need a mate

That can help me claw my way out.

Not die by my accidental gouges

So I'm forced to recede

To shadows

Let him think he's hunted

Let him quake in fear

He'll keep his distance

Like I...

Don't want him to

But is best for him...

And me as well

And my silly daydreams

Of romping in grass

That is soft to both of our feet

And playful nips

That could only only tickle

They must die

Between the crunching reality

Of my powerful jaws

I know best

How fast I move

How easily I make the kill

And how little I regret

Those that shrivel beneath me

Even if it would be

Regretted with him

It would, you see, I know

Still come to pass

Flicking my tail of indecision

I slink away undetected

Silent

And sulky
I am cold in this singular

Coat of mine

Forcing myself to turn

To other fields to hunt in widely

I can only hope

That he never crosses my path

On some starving

Forgotten day.

The spark of the moment when the heavy fog lifts.? But will this ultimately save me or him??
