Chapter Three-Surprise
By haleyhollows

~Chapter 3/Surprise

Gena came over and let me borrow a dress of hers. “We wear the same size, so whenever we go out to party, which is a lot, you can borrow a dress from me.” I drove over to Zack and Gena's, wearing the dress she had let me borrow. My sister was wearing a nice frilly dress. She didn't really like to be social. Zacky was sitting out on the front porch with Brian. I looked at my sister. “Holy damn…” I smiled. She grinned.

We went inside, and all hung out. I was introduced to Matt, Brian, Johnny, Jason and Matt Berry, and Jimmy. Val stood by Matt, and from what I saw Jimmy was hanging out with a girl. Brian was alone. I felt bad.

“So, where's your girlfriend, or do you have one?” I asked.

“Michelle is in Newport on some fashion business, but she'll be back soon.”
“Oh, well could you use some company? I'm pretty lonely too.” I laughed.

“For Zacky's beautiful cousin? Of corse,” He smiled. I blushed rapidly. “Would you like a drink?” He asked, walking me into the kitchen.

“Sure,” I laughed.

We talked for a while about Chicago, then we went outside, and hung out.

“So, is it hard living without your parents? Or do you not want to talk about it?”

“It's okay, and yeah. My mom was my best friend. But Alice and I both agreed they're both looking down on us now…” I said, drifting away.

“That's a good way to look at it.” He smiled, putting his arm around me softly.

“Sometimes I wonder if they really do look down on me. On the way here, I was so nervous…”

“I think Huntington Beach will be awesome with you here.”

I smiled. “Thanks.”

He already seemed like he always knew the right things to say. And I had just met him. Nice.
