This is something I wrote when I was bored at school... that's all im going to say it has more of a story to it though lolz enjoy xxxxx **************** I watched him as he moved every beautiful contour of his face, not too pale yet, not too tanned, perfect almost. And those eyes, deep dark and exciting. They weren't a dark brown nor a dark hazel but a dark blue. Mysterious and holding some secret desire. There was a twinkle in his eye denoting some sort of mischief, his inner child perhaps.. My eyes wandered to his lips, I watched as he talked to me. I wanted to kiss him, his mouth looked so inviting although I guessed it would be rather rude to kiss him there and then while he was talking. Usually when talking to someone I would look at their eyes. Although with him it was hard I could just get lost. They would annoy me though to mysterious and hard to read. I wanted to know what ran through that gorgeous head of his. I think he was talking about a show; possibly grease. I don't know why I wasn't listening, I was off in some daydream. I looked around to try and snap myself out of it I wasn't sure where everyone had gone. We were alone now, well almost there was one man standing at the bar not far from us. I assumed everyone was dancing, no doubt I was right. I focused my attention once again on him. This time trying to listen, he was still going on about grease, about scenery construction. I couldn't concentrate on his words, which I did not doubt were interesting enough but for some reason my ears did not wan to take in the conversation. I could only pay attention to his voice, childish yet deep almost purring. Personality wise he was a comical genius never passing up the chance to crack a joke or make a funny remark. His accent in it's self was amusing. Countless times my friends and I had been talking to him and laughed at things he had said that hadn't necessarily been funny in themselves. Still whenever he talked to me I melted. That's how love works though. Someone's most annoying qualities just seem sweet and desirable. All of a sudden I jumped as he put his hand on mine. Pulling me out of my fairytale world. My heart skipped a beat before starting to beat so fast I thought it would break out of my chest at any minute. He said my name... "jess" ...So very softly, as if questioning my minds whereabouts. "yes?" I answered not wanting to seem as if I wasn't listening "Do you want to?" he asked I had no idea what he wanted me to do but I agreed all the same. He grabbed my hand and dragged me onto the dance floor. He wanted me to dance! I put my arms around his neck. This was the first time I actually noticed the difference in height he was only about an inch taller than me. We had danced before but never to a slow song. The song was a savage garden one, I knew I loved you. I don't know whether it was coincidence or whether he knew how much I loved this song but we were there dancing to it. I didn't want to sing the words straight into his ear however hard it was to hold back the words that I knew like the back of my hand. I couldn't keep my eyes open, it wasn't that I was tired or anything I just wanted to keep this moment locked up in my mind for ever. The way he held my back so gently, they way he sang the words do loudly in my ear, which made me begin to think I should sing also I dismissed the idea remembering I couldn't sing and the way we went round in a little circle like everyone does when they slow dance It was so amazing, our bodies being so close, he smelt so nice, not a really strong aftershave smell but a discreet smell of something like shampoo. I smiled at my two girl friends who were dancing with each other nearby. One of them, Chloe, knew how I truly felt about him and she was the only one, not even he knew and I could never tell him because he did not return my feelings, he just saw me as a friend. His left hand was in the small of my back he applied a small amount of pressure bringing out bodies still closer together. I had to concentrate to stay standing. My legs had turned to jelly obviously not in the literal sense I just did not know what was going on around me. Sounds became muffled and I ceased to hear the song my mind drifted once again. There was only one thing I could feel and that was the connection of our bodies. There was only one was we could ever be closer and I knew that would never happen as his feelings did not match mine of love, either it was that or he was just very reserved in his feelings. I hoped it was the latter but there was no chance. Most if not all of his gestures were friendly, nothing more intimate than that. Although the way Chloe was looking at me I started to think otherwise. Her eyes just seemed to say: get in there. I just wanted to shout at her in my frustration : he doesn't love me! I felt as if he was leading me on in this dance making me think I had a chance when really I didn't. I heard the bridge in the song and knew it was coming to an end and that wonderful moment would be over very soon. I moved my hands up to the back of his head lightly running my fingers through his short hair. The song came to and end and I was scared at what would happen next, I was also slightly dizzy from dancing in circles. I wondered if he felt as awkward as I did. He pulled back and smiled. God I almost died he was so beautiful and that smile just did it for me. I had always known I had strong feelings for him but that was the moment everything just seemed to fall into place. I knew I was in love. More in love than I had ever been. Truly madly deeply in love with him. "Thank you" he said still smiling Why was he saying thank you all I had done was dance with him. I should be thanking him for asking me to dance. That's when it happened...he kissed me! Nothing major, not even on the lips but to my loved up mind it seemed like more. He placed his lips just between the corner of my mouth and my cheek. I don't know if I was going insane but it lingered it wasn't just a peck because he didn't pull back straight away. When he did though our eyes locked his dark mysterious eyes fixed on my small blue ones. I had to look away for fear that my eyes may reveal some untold secret. Eyes are the window to the soul after all. He touched my hand half holding it before smiling once again and walking back to our seats. I followed with Chloe and the rest of the cast of grease that had decided to go down the pub that night. The next song wasn't particularly good so we all sat down in the comfy chairs near the bar. We all sat with our drinks chatting happily. I did join in with the conversion that was changing topic more rapidly than I could keep track of. Chloe knew I had something on my mind and the wonderful thing about her was the fact that she knew exactly what I was thinking about. She slept round mine that night, I told her everything...
