'I do love you'
By Jet Margera

Jess and Darren stood, in the empty bus shelter, it was cold and raining. He had asked her to meet
him here to talk.
"So are you okay then?" he asked awkwardly
Jess nodded "yeah I'm fine how are you?"
There was obvious tension between the two as the past few days had been very eventful for the both
of them.
The conversation want on like this for a while with both of them just trying to make small talk
until Darren got frustrated and impatient saying "Look Jess we kissed and I think we need to talk
about this, I can tell you feeling just as awkward as I am"
"Darren there is nothing to talk about" she replied looking out into the nighttime rain.
"Jess there is and you know it, it's the thing that has being plaguing both our minds for he past
3 nights. I know it has in yours because it has been tearing me apart.
"Darren it was a kiss, and there's nothing more I can say about it"
"It was more than a kiss it meant more"
"Well even if it did, it was only a kiss and now it's over, it's done"
"So we are going to go on like this forever, feeling awkward and guilty every time we look at each
other"
Jess shook her head, "no not forever, the thing is Darren I have a boyfriend and yes I do feel
guilty I never wanted to cheat on him however shallow and jerk like he can be."
"So you have feelings for me?"
Jess turned to look at him not saying anything, she then turned back to looking out into the
rain.
"I know you do"
"I don't"
"okay, then Jess look me in the eye, say it tell me that you don't love me, tell me that our kiss
was nothing more than a mistake.
Jess didn't look at Darren, she couldn't, tears were beginning to well up in her eyes.
"See I knew you wouldn't be able to do it" he said looking down at the ground.
Jess turned to him, he looked up catching her eyes, "Darren, fine I do have feelings for you, but
we can never be more than just friends, it won't work out"
"Why Jess, why?" he asked walking closer to her.
"Because I'm with someone, I have a boyfriend" she was almost shouting now. Her voice stern
meaningful but hurt.
"Jess I love you and I always have, ever since you cleaned the blood from my face when Andy hit
me"
"I know and also since then I have been good and resisted every move of yours that you have am on
me, I'm to loyal to cheat on someone"
Darren Took her by the hand finding it more interesting than her face, "Then why did you?" he
asked
Jess shook her head and drew away hr hand, walking to the opposite end of the shelter.
"There has to be more of a reason, it wasn't an accident, you kissed me back, we both felt
something there"
"okay Darren what if I did feel something, something more than just a physical attraction, the
same as what you felt. What would happen then?" she asked, tears running down her face.
"I don't know, fate would have to take it's course I guess" He walked over to her grabbing her
arm. "did you feel what I felt, did you feel love"
"God Dammit Darren you are so pushy" she shouted. Pulling her arm from his grasp, and turning
to face him.
He looked at her trying to search for a hidden meaning in those deep dark blue eyes of her's,
"did you?"
"Oh for gods sake, Yes Darren I did feel what you felt, you don't realize how much, this could ruin
my life and break my heart though" She broke his gaze an walked off her stiletto heels clip-clopping
away into the darkness and home. Her hand bag sat on the bench, Darren would have to return it to
her...
