THINGS I WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START

THINGS I WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START

Hello everyone, I'm sorry about this annoying, extensive, A/N, I'm writing it mostly to explain some things about the way the story is going to be structured so you won't get confused. And, even though I'm writing the story just for fun, it does involve a lot of aspects of my personal life -so I'm sharing it with you because I know you all are awesome and appreciative readers that share with me a passion and respect for a band, and for writing.

Alright, to the point.

  1. First thing you need to know about this story: It's going to be long.

Since the story it's going to be so long (don't underestimate the word) I decided to divide it in six books instead of doing sequels, because the story it's too solid as a whole to be divided in various stories.

Each book represents a determinant stage in the main characters' lives. Also, each book it's going to be divided in several subsections, each of them will contain three chapters. Every subsection it's going to be named after the most explored feeling, emotion,?element?or situation in the three chapters that are inside it. I did this to difference each important stage of the story, and to keep an outline that makes the writing and reading process easier. (I guess -at least it works for me.)

  1. Second thing you probably need to know before starting:

The story it's going to be written in two POV's -the two main characters' POV's (you'll get to know who they are soon enough).

Each chapter it's going to be written in one of the main characters' POV's, depending on how vital is one's perspective on the corresponding chapter. There will be a very few chapters where the POV will switch between them two, so try not to get confused. (I'll let you know anyway when that's the case)

  1. Third, last and the MOST IMPORTANT thing you NEED to keep in mind:

Music was what inspired me the most to write this story -it's about a band, after all- so each chapter is going to have a specific soundtrack.

At the beginning of each chapter there's going to be the name of a song or two, maybe even three in some chapters.

The songs are going to be identified with this symbol: (8)

The symbol will appear on the specific part of the chapter where the song starts. In case the chapter has more than one song, I'll post the songs in order of appearance in the A/N.

Sometimes the songs can belong to the chapter because of the?feeling of the melody or because of the lyrics, or both. Usually the songs I pick are important in both ways. At the beginning of each chapter, I'll post the name of the songs and their lyrics, and I'll specify in whose POV they are being?thought.?

I'm being so compulsive about the music part because I believe the music gives the story much?more feeling?-if you visualize it with a soundtrack in the background. I think it will seem more like a movie, as I feel it when I write.

Extra thing:

I'm sorry if the?A/N at the?beginning of each chapter gets annoying, but I sort of have OCD so I'll always be trying to explain important details of the chapter on them. I'll do this because I REALLY want you guys to fully grasp every tiny little detail of the story, but if they get too annoying, let me know and I'll try to stop.

So, if you survived my obsessive-compulsive page of instructions and warnings on how you should read this story (and I'm VERY sorry if I sounded bossy or pretentious -it wasn't my intention at ANY rate) I appreciate it VERY much, and I hope that you'll enjoy my story as much as I enjoy writing it.

Once again, thank you very much for reading. Take care. XOXOXOXO
