These Words Are All I Have (So I'll Write Them)
By BornInHeels

Well you're my favorite bird and when you sing, I really do wish you'd wear my ring

“Guys, I am going to ask Bree to marry me.” Bill told his band.

“Finally!” The Butcher exclaimed. “You and Carden have waited too long with Bree and Sophia. I feel bad for those girls. At least one of you finally got a clue.”

“Like you are doing any different with Payce.” Mike Carden grunted.

“I asked Payce to marry me when we were in New York. She said yes.”

“When were you planning on telling us?” Sisky asked, just as surprised as the rest of them that The Butcher was actually a fiance.

The Butcher just shrugged.

My heart is in motion, for the song inside of you.

“Where are we going for out honeymoon Billiam?” Bree asks sweetly.

“That is my surprise to you, toots.”

“I need to know what to pack.”

“You always pack half of your wardrobe anyway, so just do that.” He mumbles then presses his lips to hers.

When he pulled away she pouts. “Don't poke fun at me.”

“I'm not.” He smiles. “I just know you, because I love you.”

You're so cute when you're slurring your speech

He comes home and he can tell she's had too much to drink. It was her “last night” but he didn't think she would be this wasted. He notices the doorknob being held up only by a few loose screws. He sees Red Bull cans all over the house. He is annoyed—he sighs—but when he sees her dancing around he can't help but smile. “Honey!” she slurs out. “I love you so much.”

He can't get over how cute she is at that moment.

We are the same blood all of us, we are, we are.

“I can't believe you are marrying my brother.” Courtney Beckett says over coffee.

“Why?” Bree asks.

“You are just too pretty for him.” She says then smiles.

“You know for as close as you two are, you are kind of an asshole to him, when he's not around.

“That's the product of having an annoying little sister. I bet your sister would say the same thing to Bill.”

Bree's sister rolls her eyes. “I would tell him he was too pretty for Bree. I mean he's too pretty for any girl.”

And now you've got me thinking about the first time that I met you—standing in a crowded room but I could only see you.

“Did you ever think that we would end up here?” Bill asks as they are getting ready for their wedding reception.

“No. But if it's any consolation I did think you were pretty attractive the first time I saw you—until you opened your mouth.”

I've got a secret, it's on the tip of my tongue, it's in the back of my lungs.

She couldn't believe it. PregnantPositive, it was all so surreal. Everything she ever wanted was coming true. She just didn't know how to tell her husband. She didn't want to tell him then lose it—she didn't want their friends to know. She wanted to keep it to herself until it actually felt real.

But she couldn't keep this from Bill.

So she wrote him a letter and left it for him to find while she went to the doctor to hear if there was actually a heart beat inside of her—that wasn't hers.

Bill, my darling—

I took a pregnancy test in Milwaukee, it turned out positive. I am pretty sure we are going to have a baby. I couldn't tell you this in person because I don't want to see a happy reaction from you, and then fail you later on down the road.

I love you.

She runs home when she gets the ultra sound—the first photo of their baby. She tells him that it is true. He cries, she cries. They decide to wait until after the first trimester to tell anyone.

My baby's got a secret

“Bree, it's Andrew The Butcher Mrotek calling you.”

“Hey Butch.” Bree sighs.

“While we're away on tour I am setting up a scavenger hunt to keep Payce busy. Can you help me?”

“Of course.”

I know, I'll see you again.

“I will miss you guys.” Bree says with watery eyes. “Payce you were my fellow pregnateer and Holly you were my moral support. Lord knows Bill isn't as good as you are with these things.”

“You will have Sophia now.” Holly reminds Bree. “She will be just as good as me.”

“You better call me every day.” Payce says. It's an unrealistic goal—but if anyone could achieve that goal, it would be Bree.

With no words at all, so tiny and small, in love I fall so deep, so deep.

The first time Bree holds her daughter she cries—tears of joy. She can't believe how quickly you can fall in love with someone you don't even know—but when she sees Melody's tiny little fingers she knows it's true.

Fuck you, Fuck you very, very, much (please don't stay in touch)

“You are dead to me Mike Carden.” Bree says, glaring at him. “I hate you.”

“Bree you shouldn't judge him.” Bill sighs trying to calm down his very moody, very pissy, veryreadytokillMikeCarden wife. She doesn't say anything to Bill, but he knows the look she shoots over to him, the look of shut the fuck up.

“Bree this is none of your business and it shouldn't be a reason to hate me.” Mike says calmly.

“It actually is my business. You know why? Because Sophia is my best fucking friend. When I had no one else she was there. And because of you I am going to have to pretend to like this new girl, when I actually hate her.”

“You don't even know her.” Mike replies. Now annoyed. “You can't possibly hate her.”

“Yes I can.”

“How?”

“This little word I like to call loyalty. I am loyal to my best friend so no I am not going to buddy up with your new hooker.”

“Whatever.” Mike grunts.

“If you bring her around me, don't expect me to be pleasant.” Bree says then storms off.

I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend, I'm lucky we're in love in everyway.

She cries—but she doesn't know why. He knows. He knows why she cries, and his goal is to do anything to help her. “I've never cheated on you.” He says. “I know the Mike and Sophia situation is scaring you, but I wouldn't do that…I couldn't.”

Her heart begins to unbreak. “How—how did you know?”

“Bree, you're my best friend. I love you—I just…know.”

I've got the gift of one liners, and you've got the curse of curves, and with this gift I compose words.

“Hello Bree, I'm Mike's—“

“I know who you are.” Bree says bitterly.

“Your daughter is beautiful.”

Bree rolls her eyes and fakes a smile. “You have some big shoes to fill.”

Bree doesn't feel bad at all—until she's walking away and hears Mike's new girlfriend sadly ask “Did I do something wrong?”

“She's just a bitch.” Mike says.

“She is not.” Adam says defensivly. “She just doesn't trust new people.”

Yes I am a bitch. She thinks to herself, trying not to cry. She continues to walk away, then texts Sophia. I'm sorry if I was ever a bitch to you, I love you. Once she sees the words “message sent” on her phone, she grimaces and puts it back in her purse.

Say you'll be my girls for life

When Bree got the call that Payce had her baby she booked the first flight to New York she could get. Melody was finally released for travel, so she, Bill, and their daughter flew to NYC to surprise Payce and The Butcher. Bree stumbles in on Holly in the waiting room the next morning. Bill is clutching onto Melody as Bree enthusiastically throws her arms around Holly repeating ImissyouImissyouImissyou over and over again in one hushed breath.

Holly walks them to Payce's room—where Payce is fast asleep and Andy is no where to be found. Bree grins and crawls in bed with Payce. “Andrew I told you I didn't want to cuddle right now.” She mumbles.

“I'm not Andrew.” Bree whispers in her ear. Payce's eyes popped open and she sat up immediately.

“I can't believe you're here.” Payce cries.

“Of course I am here. You're my best friend. I want to be around for every baby that you, Holly, or Sophia may have. You three are my girls for life.”

A/N: Okay so this is pretty much a one shot of lost moments that I didn't write about in “We're Simply Meant To Be.” Or moments that I have recently read about in BuryMeStanding's, Dana88's, and WorldOnStringer's awesome awesome new updates. I missed writing Bree&Bill. But that is one story I don't want to do a continuance to…so you get this…and hey as their three stories develop more, I may write another one of these things. :D
