Oil & Water
By BornInHeels

You and I are like oil and water
And we've been trying, trying, trying
Oh, to mix it up.

When we last left Bill and Bella they had just shared their first moment together. Bill thought he was in love and Bella didn't want to spend another day without him, but that was before they really got to know each other. Neither of them wanted to admit it but they were not compatible. They really only had one thing in common, it was how they started their relationship, and how they spent their nights. Together, intimate, but never actually putting down any walls. They realized long ago that when they tried to open up to one another they just ended up in a fight over something little, petty, stupid.

We've been dancing on a volcano
And we've been crying, crying, crying
Over blackened soles

Bill and Bella had been playing with fire for quite some time. You could stay they had been treading dangerous waters from the moment they met, and he brought her home with him, but who wants to admit that? Defiantly not Bill, how could Bella, his Bella the same Bella that opened his eyes to so many different things in just a few short hours, the one he knew he was going to marry the moment he laid eyes on her be bad for him? She couldn't—right? He constantly cried to his friends and band mates about the problems with Bella, but they just didn't understand. Their jaded, loveless, blackened souls never saw Bella for who she was—but did Bill really know Bella? Or was she just another manifestation of his mind?

I've been smiling with anchors on my shoulders
And I've been dying, dying, dying
Oh
... to let them go!

Bill was faking a smile every time he was in public with her. He tried to make it look like they were doing okay. He tried to make them okay, but it just killed him inside. She was everything he wanted, but nothing he needed, and he didn't know how to let his feelings go.

Babe, this wouldn't be the first time
It will not be the last time
There is no parasol that could shelter this weather

It wasn't his first break up, he was positive that it wasn't going to be his last, but nothing could stop the feeling that was plaguing him other than to leave Bella. Nothing could calm the storm, nothing, nothing could save him from the dark clouds that were surrounding. Nothing and no one could save him—no one but himself. So as Bella sat in front of him, he started to tell her about all the problems that they had.

Babe, this wouldn't be the first time
It will not be the last time
We've been trying to beli
eve everything would get better.

“This wouldn't be the first time.” She told him. “And this will not be the last time that my heart is broken. But we've been trying to believe everything would just get better. We didn't try to make it better, we just told ourselves it would. We never really tried.” Bill was appalled by her statement because he had tried. He loved her—didn't he?

We've been lying to each other
Hey! Babe! Let's just call it, call it, call it
,
Oh.... what it is!

“We've been lying to ourselves and to each other by thinking this could work.” Bill bitterly replied. “Let's just end this, and call it what it is.”

“You and I are like oil and water.” Bella told him while smirking.

A/N: Oh HEYYYY! Remember the “Here In My Room” one shot? I said Bill&Bella were going to be a series of one shots. I didn't lie! Here is part two of this miniseries.

I should be sleeping right now, but I can't, so I decided to write this, post it & pray for reviews. :D

Once again I own nothing. The song is “Oil & Water” by the AMAZING Incubus. THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU Brandon Boyd for writing those lyrics.
