([A/N] Okay, the ages are a little off dispite the fact that it's set in a present setting. Frank:23
Gerard & Ray: 27 Mikey:24 Bob:25)
"Where are you Frankie?" I wondered aloud as I peered on tiptoe over the mob of people around me for
my cousin. It was summer vacation and my mom and her new husband Trevor had decided that I needed to
learn a little about the world and what better place to do it than by touring America in tour bus
with five grown men? I personaly thought that they just wanted me out of the house so the they two
of them could have time away from me but who was I to complain? My cousin Frank Iero was in the band
My Chemical Romance and he and the rest of the band had agreed to take me along on Warped tour with
them. So as soon as school had ended she'd put me on the first plane to LA where he was living until
the tour started. However that was the plan only if Frank hadn't forgotten to pick me up. My cell
rang from my back pocket, I grabbed it and glanced at the caller ID, "Frank where the hell are you?
My plane got in almost twenty minuets ago." I said. "Where are you? I was here an hour early and
you're no where to be found!" he replied. "What gate are you waiting at?" I asked. "Uh...eleven?" he
said. "No wonder you don't see me! I'm at gate seven!" I said. "You told me eleven last night Izzy."
he said. "No, I told you seven. You weren't listening!" I replied. "Well maybe you should learn to
talk then I could understand you!" he replied. "Look, we can fight in a little bit. Will you please
come and get me?" I said. "Yeah see you in moment." he said and the line went dead. I rolled my
eyes and slipped the phone back into my backpocket. A few moments later Frank appeared out of the
crowd. "Frankie!" I said and ran over and threw my arms around him. "Hey Iz. How's my baby cousin?"
he asked. I rolled my eyes, "Frank I'm seventeen, you cant keep calling me your baby cousin
forever." I told him. "You wanna bet? C'mon lets get your stuff." he said and we walked over to
"So how was the flight?" he asked. "Good but I had to sit next to this old lady with way too much
perfume." I repled. "I thought you smelled a little on the geriatric side." he said. "Ha ha.
Ooo...there's my duffle." I said and pointed to the bright purple bag that had just appeared on the
mini merry go round. Frank reached out and grabbed the strap, pulling it to safety. "What the hell
is in this thing?" he asked. "My clothes." I replied and turned to find the rest of my stuff.
"Clothes?" he asked. "Is there an echo? Yes clothes, well and a pair of shoes or two." I replied.
"How much clothing to you need?" he asked as I pulled another duffle bag slightly smaller than the
first from under a huge suitcase. "I'm a girl Frank. Does that answer the question?" I asked. Frank
opened his mouth to reply but I cut him off, "There's my baby." I said and rushed foward to grab the
handle of my guitar case. I sat it on the ground in front of me and opened it up. I looked at it and
made sure that nothing was harmed by the plane ride. "So you finally learned to play?" he asked. I
looked at him, "No, I just carry it around to make me look cool." I said. "Smart ass. So is this
everything?" he asked. I nodded and we headed out to grab a cab.
The ride from the airport to Frank's apartment didn't take very long. Frank helped me carry my stuff
to the elevator and pushed the button. I hadn't been to the new apartment and this was probably the
last time that I would be here. Frank had moved to LA just to prep for the tour like all the guys
did, except for Gerard who lived here full time. "Home sweet home. For now at least." Frank said as
we walked inside. It was sorta small and bairly furnished except for a couch, TV and X-Box 360 and
Wii in the living room and a small table with mismatched chairs in the kitchen. "You really should
consider hiring an interier decorater Mr. Big Time Rock Star." I said. "Eh...It's not like I'm here
for long. So anyhow, let me show you your room." he said and I fallowed him down the hall. "That is
my room and this is your room." he said and opened the door. It was a small room with a twin bed
that someone had done up with a flowery bedspread and matching curtins. "Yeah, I know," Frank said
seeing the look on my face, "It was Alicia, Mikey's wife. She insisted that if a girl was going to
be living here that it had to look like it. We all tried to tell her that you weren't exactly a
girly girl but it didn't work. Don't worry though, it's only for a week." he said. "Thank glob." I
said and Frank laughed. "Well I bet you want to lay down for a bit. So I'll call you when dinner's
ready." He said and left me alone in the room.
I sat my guitar case beside the bed, kicked off my checkerd Vans and flopped onto the bed. After
retreaving my ipod from my carry on I turned it on and laid back, Smashing Pumpkin's "Tonight,
Tonight" blasting in my ears. I closed my ears and relaxed into the music which I did often. It was
a way to get away from everything that wasn't illegal or expensive. I was starting to doze off when
suddenly something jumped on my bed. "Fuck!" I yelled and fell off he bed, my ipod skidding across
the hardwood floor. I looked up and saw Gerard sitting on my bed laughing his ass off.
"What-the-HELL?" I asked and pushed him. He caught himself before he could fall back and smiled at
me, "What? You're not happy to see me? And when did you get to be such a potty mouth?" he asked.
"Yes, Gee I am more than happy to see you but did you have to scare the living daylights out of me
you freaking asshole?" I asked. "No. I just thought it'd be more fun that way. And I'm telling
Frankie you cussed." he said. "I learned from the best." I replied. "True. " he said. I shook my
head, and looked at Gerard. I had known him since I was 11 and out of all of Frank's friends he was
my favorite. When I was little Frank had been like a big brother to me. I had two older sisters but
the only thing that they wanted to do with me was put me in dresses and make me up like a little
doll so I stayed as far away from them as I could. I was a tomboy and liked all the things that
Frank did like music, video games and comic books. When Frankie had joined My Chemical Romance the
guys had started hanging around more and I had immedietly become attached to Gerard. I loved
watching him draw and he'd buy me comic books. When I was 13 I had found boys and developed a crush
on Gee. However he was much older than me and I knew it would never work. Never the less, I still
got butterflies when he was around.
"So whatch listening to?" he asked picking up my ipod and putting it in his ears. He nodded,
"Smashing Pumpkins." he said. "Yep." I replied. He turned it off and laid it on my pillow, "C'mon,
it's almost time for dinner." He said and took my hand and pulled me up. "Great, I'm starving." I
replied and we headed to the kitchen. A wonderful smell wafted from the stove where Frank stood,
"Yum! What's that?" I asked. "Pasta al a Frank." he said. "So spegetti with garlic bread." Gerard
said and Frank shrugged, "Same diffrence." he replied. Gerard pulled a few plates out of a cabnet
and set them out with forks. I looked down and counted four plates. "Who else is coming?" I asked.
Frank looked at Gerard, "Uh...Bob actually." Frank said not meeting my eyes. "Is there something
that you need to tell me?" I asked. "Well...I guess that you should know since we're going to be on
the bus together so here it goes. Bob and I are dating." Frank said. I looked at him for a moment. I
had known that Frank was gay since forever but I hadn't known about Bob and even if he was I never
would've believed that he'd end up with my cousin of all people. "You and Bob?" I asked. "Yeah.
We've been living together for a little over four months but we've been together almost eight." he
said. "Eight months? You've waited eight months to tell me that you're dating Bryar?" I asked.
"Well, it's not like we've been in the same area for a while." Frank replied and began to dole out
the spagetti. "Hey, that's not my fault Frankie." I replied. Frank stuck out his toung at me and
Gerard laughed. We both turned to look at him, "Please don't stop on account of me. It's fun
watching you two bicker like two old biddies." he said. "You should see us when we're really pissed
at one another." I replied reaching into the fridge for sodas.
The door opened and Bob walked in just as we sat down to eat. "Bobby!" I said reaching out for a
hug. "Izabell!" he said and hugged me back. "Call me that again and I will have to castrate you." I
said. "Oh but you can call me Bobby?" he asked. "I've always called you Bobby." I replied and he
shrugged; I was the only one that got by with calling him Bobby and lived. After he let go of me he
walked over and kissed Frank before freezing, remembering that I was sitting at the table. "It's
okay baby, I already told her." Frank said and sat down at the table. We dug into the spagetti,
"This is really good Frankie." I said. "As if it would be anything but." he said and I rolled my
eyes. "So how do you feel about being stuck on a bus with us for weeks on end?" Bob asked. "C'mon
just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I can't deal with you guys." I replied helping myself to
another slice of garlic bread. "Uh-huh." Gerard replied. "Let's see...three years ago did I or did I
not kick your ass?" I asked. "You kicked his ass when you were fourteen?" Bob asked. "Uh-huh. He was
at my house and he started pissing with me, I asked him to stop but he wouldn't so I jumped him. He
eneded up with a split lip and a black eye." I said. Bob turned to Gerard who held his hands up,
"Wasn't my fault. I was coming down with a cold." Gerard insisted. "Whatever." Bob replied with a
smile replied with a smile.
After dinner we all sat down to watch a movie Bob and Frank sat on the couch and Gerard and I
streched out on the floor. The day was taking it's toll on me and I could feel my eyelids grow
heavy. Eventually I slipped into sleep. I don't know how long I had been asleep when I felt someone
lift me from the floor. I opened my eyes and saw Gerard smiling back at me, "It's okay Izzy. You can
go back to sleep." he said. I snuggled closer to him as he carried me down the hall. I felt him lay
me on the bed and pull off my shoes before moving and unzipping my hoodie which he pulled off and
tossed behind him. He touched my wrist lightly and let out a little chuckle. I vaguely wondered what
was so funny but I didn't have the strength to ask. Gerard lifted my legs and pulled the covers over
me, tucking them under me. "Good night Izzy." he said and placed a feather light kiss on my forehead
before leaving the room. I smiled to myself and let sleep take me under.
