Yuna's group started to fight Vegnagun's abdomen. The battle was long and grueling, but Yuna and her
friends managed to defeat it. The body itself started to slow down as its head landed near Yuna's
party.

"What now?" Paine groaned as the ground vibrated.

Rikku felt very nervious. "Uh...ummm...maybe we're finished?"

"Finished indeed." Baralai told everyone as a ghostly image of Shuyin appeared at the organ
keyboards.

"BARALAI!" Nooj cried out in shock.

"All of Spira is FINISHED!" Baralai and Shuyin shouted in unison. And if that wasn't enough,
Vegnagun was fully revived.

"He's got a plan B too!" Rikku cried out as she witnesses Vegnagun being reactivated.

Sudden;y, Auron's voice was heard by everyone. "Yuna, he's panicking. End it all now!"

"This is it everyone! Stay focused!" Yuna cheered as a cannon opened from Vegnagun. Yuna's party
focused on Vegnagun's head. After they finally destroyed the head, Vegnagun itself was finally
disabled. Baralai and Shuyin leave the organ and faced Yuna.

"Now's my chance!" Yuna thought to herself as she changes into her songstress outfit. Shuyin looks
at Yuna, but instead, he sees his long lost lover, Lenne. "Shuyin."

"Lenne?"

"There is something I need to tell you." Yuna explained. "I love you. And I'm grateful...very
grateful that you stayed with me until the very end.

"But I couldn't save you." cried Shuyin.

"It doesn't matter." Yuna said calmly. "Don't go grieving on alone. Please, rest."

Shuyin finally leaves Baralai's body and approached Yuna. "So we can finally fade...together."

All of the sudden, Shuyin saw Yuna instead of Lenne. "NO!"

"WAIT!" cried Yuna.

Shuyin was furious. "You are NOT Lenne!"

A battle between Shuyin and Yuna's party took place. After many hours, Yuna's group was successful
and defeated Shuyin.

"Shuyin..."

"DON'T TRY TO TELL ME YOU UNDERSTAND." Shuyin snarled.

Right there, Lenne left Yuna's body. "Shuyin."

Shuyin was surprised. "Lenne?"

"Hello, it is indeed me, Lenne."

"LENNE!" Shuyin cheered as the couple held hands. "A thousand years have passed and this is all we
get?"

Lenne looked at her lover, smiling. "This moment is enough. I don't need anything else. Just knowing
how you feel is enough. Shuyin, let's end this. Let's go home."

"Can we Lenne?"

Lenne placed both hands on Shuyin's shoulders. "That was a millennia ago. We came too far to look
back now. Rest Shuyin, rest with me."

Lenne and Shuyin embraced each other. "Let's go. I have a new song for you."

The couple looked at Yuna and smiled. "Thank you."

Lenne and Shuyin disappeared in happiness. Yuna and all her friends leave the far-plane.

Yuna and her friends were now it the far-plane abyss. Before Yuna, a fayth appeared. "Thank you for
saving Spira."

"You're very welcome." Yuna responded.

"Would you like to see him again?" The fayth asked Yuna.

"Tidus? I would give my life to see him!" Yuna replied. How she yearned to be with Tidus, even if it
means giving up living.

Hearing what Yuna said, Rikku was stunned and her heart sank. "Yunie...NO!"

Paine held Rikku's arms behind her back and puts a restraining order on the girl. "Rikku, this is
Yuna's decision. There's nothing that could be done about it."

"But Paine..." Rikku sobbed.

"Please Rikku." Paine pled. "If you really care about Yuna, you will let her make this decision."

"Yuna, you know the Transfusion spell?" The fayth asked.

"Please, teach it to me."

As Yuna was taught the spell, she faces Rikku and smiles. "Please Rikku. Make me proud of you."

As Yuna casts the spell, Rikku absorbed all of Yuna's energy, as well as her special abilities.
Rikku couldn't believe it. Yuna was giving up her life to reunite with her paramour.

As Rikku saw her cousin's cold, lifeless body fall to the ground, she ran up to Yuna's body, tears
streaming down her face. "Yunie...YUNIEEE!"

"Rikku." Paine said, trying to fight back her tears. Paine vowed to herself to be a stronger person,
but this was just too much for the duo. "Promise me one thing."

Rikku looked up at Paine, her face was wet with tears. "What's that? I lost my loved one, so what is
left now?"

"Promise me you won't hurt yourself Rikku." Paine said sternly. "I know you feel down and wish the
end would come, but please, DON'T DO ANYTHING HARMFUL TO YOURSELF!"

"I...I promise." Rikku sobbed as she hugged Paine at the waist. "I guess we have to go back and
deliver the news to everyone."

So Rikku and Paine went back to the ship and left the abyss, Paine carrying Yuna's lifeless body. A
couple days later, a funeral was held in Besaid. All of the companions that aided Yuna in her
journey appeared at the funeral and praised the former summoner for saving the world and pray for
her happiness in the afterlife with Tidus.

---

Two years have passed since Yuna's death. Life continued on for everyone. Wakka and Lulu were
married and had a son named Vidina, and at the age of two, the boy was already walking and talking.
Wakka was proud of being a father. Since his parents died when he was young, Wakka was nervous at
first, but apparently, he became attached to his son, as well as his wife.

Nooj and Baralai have disbanded both New Yevon and Youth Leagues to both help lead Spira together.
They were friends once more and they forgave and forgot about the whole events after a while.

Rikku was now a grown woman at the age of 20. She came to terms with the loss of a dear family
member. She was no longer depressed, instead, she became more confident and a lot more mature since
the events that spawn for at least five years. Even though the power of the summoners have laid
dormant ever since the defeat of Sin, Rikku thought it was wise to take Yuna's place as a high
summoner, just in case of a threat worse than Sin or Shuyin come to Spira.

As Rikku visits Yuna's grave and decorates it with flowers, she met up with a familiar face. "Rikku,
is that you?"

"PAINE!" Rikku cheered out loud. "I'm glad to see you again."

"So, how have you been Rikku?"

"I'm doing a lot better." Rikku replied. "I don't feel depressed anymore. I actually think my life
is getting better."

"I'm glad to hear that." Paine told Rikku, a smile forming on the stoic woman's face.

"Hey, I'm glad to see you smile for once!" Rikku said as she puts an arm around Paine's shoulder.
"You have such a pretty smile."

"Heh heh, thanks." Paine snickered. "But I bet Yuna is smiling now as she watches everyone progress
and grow mature."

"I bet both Yunie and Tidus are proud of us both." Rikku told Paine as the women left Yuna's grave.
As the left, the spirits of Yuna and Tidus appear, smiling and holding hands.

"Thank you for carrying on my legacy Rikku." Yuna said as she sees her former companions leave her
grave. Yuna and Tidus turned into spirit birds and took off, happy with the fact that they will be
together forever.
