Merry MF Christmas
By SteffiSevenfold

Remember at the carnival when you jumped onto my back and wrapped your legs around my waist, your arms around my neck and gently kicked my thighs with the heel of your bare foot, screaming, "Faster, all the good seats will be taken!"?
Remember when you got me that sweatshirt with the duck on it and I told you I loved it, and then a week later it was 'accidentally' burned in our yearly bonfire?
Remember when I took you to New York because you've always wanted to go and then I proposed to you when the ball dropped, indicating a new year with you?
Remember when you begged every day for two and a half years for a puppy until I finally got you one?
I remember. I remember each and every day with you. Every year we'd get older and wiser. We'd get older and wiser together, in eachother's arms.
And now, a week before Jesus was born, I stand here and watch them lower your delicate, pale body into the mucky, cold ground.
When I meet you again, will you have laughter and life in your face?
Will your eyes light up just like the first time we met?
Will your hair be straight or curly?
And most importantly, will you still be my one and only?
Now your fragile bones are lying lifeless in a box of wood, deep underground.
I want to curse at the priest for standing on the ground in which you lay under.
I want to get on my hands and knees and claw away at the earth, just to hold you once more.
The priest clears his throat and asks, "Matthew, would you like to say any last words?"
Does he know that I said my last words to you when you bled out in my arms?
Does he know that my last words to you mocked me; stains in my clothes?
So now I stand up, feeling horrible about stepping on the ground, knowing that even cold and lifeless, you still bring joy.
I don't want to step on your joy. That'd be like pounding a hammer against a little babies' favorite toy.
I wish I could float, but I can't so I walk past your glistening, dirt covered box to stand behind a stand that was set up.
I stood there for a few seconds, fully well knowing that I don't have a speech planned out.
I just have my wedding ring on a silver chain around my neck.
I wanted to smile as I recalled what the ring says, but I couldn't.
The words, M., I will always love you-B. tainted my thoughts.
With a deep breath in, I tear my eyes away from you and look each of our family members in the eyes and say,
"Merry motherfucking Christmas."

Bored, random one shot.
Spur of the moment and probably going to take it off as soon as Christmas is over.
]: My cousins and whatnot are coming over *cries*
Anywho. [:
