Fat
By Shiek 2

Disclaimer: I don't own
anything. This is pure fiction and as far as I know this never ever happened.

Author's Note: This was inspired by the All Access A7X dvd, when Zacky was
talking about his weight. Personally I think he's perfect in everyway so don't kill me for writing
this please! It's just a small one shot. Hope you like it!

Fat. Zacky hated the word. It meant he wasn't attractive, wasn't good enough, wasn't worthy of
someone's love and devotion. He hated the word but he couldn't escape it.

Ads for diet pills, weight loss programs,
diets, and surgeries were everywhere. They were on his favorite television channels, on billboards
next to the roads he frequented, and plastered on the sides of buildings he had to walk past almost
everyday. The ``amazing'' stories of weight loss taunted and teased him with something he could
never have, making him feel inadequate and unwanted.

Weight didn't stop there. It followed him
around like the plague, rearing its ugly head by using everything from the magazines he read to the
movies he enjoyed to the music he loved so dearly. It was everywhere and Zacky just couldn't escape
it. It even used his friends against him. They teased him about his chubbiness and, while he knew it
was all in good fun, it still hurt him deeply.

He'd realized long ago that no matter how
hard he tried he couldn't be fit like Matt and Brian, or scrawny like Jimmy, or maintain the perfect
weight like Johnny. It killed him inside to know that he wouldn't ever be able to shed the few
pounds that made him slightly overweight and be the perfect boyfriend he wanted to be for
Johnny.

He didn't know why the small bassist would want to be with him. After all, what sane person could
stand to wake up next to someone as ugly and overweight as he was?

``Babe?'' Johnny's soft voice broke him out of his thoughts. Zacky looked up to find Johnny standing
in front of him with a small smile on his face.

``Yeah?'' He asked.

``I love you.'' Johnny said, as if knowing of the internal battle the guitarist was having within
himself earlier, before sitting in his lap and burying his face in his chest with his arms securely
wrapped around his neck. Zacky smiled and wrapped his arms around his small lover, hugging him
tightly to his chest.

Maybe he wasn't anything special in other's eyes or his own but Johnny thought he was perfect.
Johnny loved him too and really, that's all that mattered.
