Pictures Of You,
Pictures Of Me
By The World Will Sing
~The day he met Ryan Ross was the day Brendon Urie got his first kiss.~
He had just given the best damn Gollum impression Brent, Spencer and Ryan have ever heard. They
inducted him into The Summer League as a second guitarist and Brendon couldn't be more ecstatic.
Brent left soon after, having to be home before 9 and Spencer went inside to help his Grandmother
with something (what she needed, Brendon couldn't remember to save his life). That left just him and
Ryan. Alone. In Spencer's Grandmother's garage surrounded by a drum kit and guitars.
They sat quietly on the tattered couch and Brendon was surprised that his ADD calmed down (you would
be right to say he didn't like his Ritalin at all).
“That was seriously the best impression I've ever heard.” Brendon's head snapped up at
the voice interrupting the quiet.
“I don't know. It's not really hard. I can do some cartoon characters, too.” Before he
knew what was happening, Ryan was leaning over and kissing him. Brendon tensed but as soon as he
started to relax and get into it, Ryan was pulling away and Brendon already missed his lips.
“So, welcome to the band.”
~The day Pete Wentz signed Panic! At The Disco was the day Ryan asked
Brendon to be his boyfriend.~
After Pete's call saying that he wanted to sign the band, Brent ran home to tell his family and
girlfriend. Spencer went into the house to tell his Grandmother (who had always had faith in the
four young boys). Ryan and Brendon walked to their respective houses…together.
Since Ryan kissed him, Brendon knew he had a thing for him. Every day since then (four months, but
who's counting? Not Brendon) Brendon thought about Ryan constantly. They would walk around Summerlin
together often and these were the times Brendon thought long and hard.
This walk, however, a certain Ryan Ross was holding tightly onto Brendon's hand as they walked (they
told Spencer they were heading home to share the news, but that right there was a lie).
“Can you believe the Pete Wentz is signing us? Bren, he believes in us!”
Brendon couldn't help but smile every time Ryan got enthusiastic like that (he was so in love with
Ryan at this point it's not even funny) because that is when he lost the constant monotonous tone to
his lovely voice.
“I know, Ry. But what I can't get over is how you fangirled all over him.” Ryan stopped
walking and turned to look at Brendon.
“The only boy I fangirl over is you.”
“That is a lie, Ryan Ross, and you know it.”
Brendon knew what was coming. That's the only reason he said what he did. Every time they had this
conversation (every time Ryan denied his fangirl love for one Pete Wentz) it ended with the two boys
kissing wherever they were (except for anywhere remotely close to either of their houses. That would
just not be good).
This time, like the others but unlike the first, Brendon had enough time to respond. When they
reluctantly pulled away, their foreheads remained connected and one boy's breath could be felt on
the other's lips.
“I can be your Satine and you can be my Christian.” All Brendon thought was Ryan and
his damn Moulin Rouge obsession before it finally clicked. He smiled as he concocted his own
“How about you be the Brian Kinney to my Justin Taylor?” Ryan laughed at Brendon's Queer
As Folk reference (they only ever watched it together) and wasn't offended at being the manwhore
(Ryan was the more…experienced one).
“They get into too many fights.”
“But neither of them died.” They continued their walk to nowhere.
“Brian went to prom for Justin.” Ryan paused and thought about it.
“Are you asking me to prom?”
“I don't know. Maybe. I was mainly using it to prove a point.”
“Then yes, I'm asking you out.”
“Good because I want you to be my Brian Kinney for ever and ever.” Ryan laughed and
squeezed Brendon's hand tighter.
“You're such a goof, Bren.”
“Hey! That's Justin to you!”
~The day Brendon got his apartment was the day he and Ryan christened
Brendon and Ryan have been BrendonandRyan for three weeks (it's been three days since Brendon's
parents kicked him out because he chose the band and Ryan). Spencer was happy but promised
death upon one should he hurt the other (protective, yes. Weird, definitely). Brent had mainly been
a vegetable to the relationship, not caring either way (that didn't bother the other three one bit).
Ryan was helping Brendon move in and let's just say one thing led to another and Brendon was no
longer a virgin.
Post-orgasm, both boys could barely be heard whispering “I love you” by any other person
than their partner.
~The day Jac Vanek posted pictures of her and Ryan kissing was the day Brendon almost
walked out of the band…and Ryan's life.~
Brendon was bored out of his mind and sitting on the bus, waiting for the guys to come back
with Red Bull, damnit (he realizes he needs to join a support group but that can wait), when he
decided to lurk LiveJournal for a bit (he fully admits he loves the Ryden posts on their community).
Audrey posted a journal about when they were drunken pirates and went to Disney (which Brendon
laughed so hard he was on the floor and clutching his stomach). He figured he should see what Jac
was up to and as soon as her page loaded, he regretted it. He was ok with the pictures of Ryan and
Jac hanging out (that was the same time he was with Audrey) but once he got to the bottom of the
post, where his boyfriend was kissing a girl, he lost it. Brendon felt like he was
going to be sick and just perfect, that's when his band mates decided to show up.
“Watcha looking at, babe?” Ryan made his way over to Brendon but he backed up and away
from Ryan's touch.
“You son of a bitch.” Spencer and Brent stopped dead in their tracks and watched the
“What's wrong?” Spencer glanced at the laptop screen and couldn't believe what he was
seeing. Ryan followed his gaze and gasped.
“Bren, listen, I can expl-”
“You can't explain that! You fucking cheated on me and with Jac!”
“How do I know you didn't do the same with Audrey?” Brendon, right there, felt like he
“I'll fucking show you the pictures. And Audrey isn't some obsessed little scene whore. I even
told you what we did and you just gave me some bullshit story. Fuck it. I've had enough of you and
this fucking band.”
Brendon left the bus and collapsed on the ground, shaking and crying. He could hear Spencer yelling
at Ryan and reminding Ryan of his promise of death should he hurt Brendon (or if Brendon should hurt
Ryan but that's not the issue here). Zack showed up and picked Brendon off of the gravel, hauling
him inside the venue's dressing room and placing him on the couch where he fell asleep instantly.
Throughout the show, Brendon felt dead. He tried to give his all like he usually did, but his heart
wasn't in it. He stayed as far away from Ryan as possible and hid behind his piano, grateful it was
there. As soon as the show was over and he stepped off the stage, Brendon's eyes instantly found a
familiar figure waiting for him. When Audrey engulfed him in a hug, he broke down for the second
time that day.
“Shh, Bren. What's wrong?” Spencer was walking by during the exchange and mouthed
Ryan Jac Kiss. Audrey's grip tightened around the trembling boy clinging to her and cursed a
certain skinny ass guitarist. Brendon pulled away and Audrey felt her heart break (Brendon is the
one person pain could never look good on).
“Bren, just go in the dressing room and I'll be there in a minute,” He shook his head
and right after he left, she yanked Ryan into a remote corner of the venue, “You're an
“I know, jesus. I've heard that from, like, every single person I've come in contact
“You broke him, Ryan, and you're a lucky bastard since you're not dead right now.”
“Honestly? How do I know for sure that you two aren't doing something behind my back?”
“Because I have a boyfriend, you twit! And it's not Brendon. His name is Ronnie and
he's in a band called Escape The Fate.” Ryan knew right there that Audrey wasn't lying.
“Oh my god, Auds. What do I do?”
“I don't know, but you have a lot of fucking ass kissing to do. Not just with Bren, but, like,
everyone on this tour. Hurting Bren hurt a lot of other people. And I don't think he'll take a giant
pack of Red Bull and forgive you.”
“I think I have an idea.”
“For the love of Pete, do not write him a song. That's fucking clich? and it's
you.” Ryan shook his head and dragged Audrey to a taxi outside of the venue, explaining
to Zack that this was majorly important and he promised he'd be at the hotel in about two hours.
Sure enough, two hours later, Ryan checked in with Zack on his way up to his and Brendon's room
(Audrey's parting words, “You really are his Brian Kinney. Break him again and you won't live
to get a third chance.”). Ryan opened the door and was greeted with Kim Possible gracing the
television screen. He glanced at the bed closest to the window and found Brendon, passed out and
utterly beautiful. After shutting the door and turning the TV off, Ryan sat quietly on the bed and
stroked Brendon's hair like he often did. Brendon started to stir and as his eyes opened, Ryan
stopped all movement and prayed that Brendon wouldn't punch him. To Ryan's surprise, he didn't, but
he did move as far away from Ryan as the bed would allow.
“Bren, can you just listen to me? Please?”
“I'm more sorry than I have ever been in my entire life. I love you more than anything -
you're my life, my soul mate, my voice. And you're right, I can't explain what happened but
it did and I regret it more every second. The only way I could think of to apologize and prove that
I love you and only you was to do this,” Ryan removed his green v-neck to reveal a clear
bandage over his heart. There, fresh black ink and reddened skin showed two bass clefs in the shape
of a heart with Ryan and Brendon intertwining in the middle. Brendon couldn't believe what he was
seeing. He felt loved and knew right then he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Ryan
(needless to say, all was forgiven).
~The day Brendon turned 21 was the day Ryan proposed.~
After the taping of Dance On Sunset, Jon and Spencer knew enough to disappear and stay far,
far away from the bus for a while. Brendon thought it was weird that they both just took off
but as soon as he saw the look on Ryan's face, he knew something was up. He went to open the bus'
door but Ryan tugged on his sleeve and brought him to a ladder. The boys climbed on top of the bus
and sat quietly, watching the scenery and people around them. Ryan got up and pulled Brendon to his
feet, telling him to look down. As he did, Brendon saw Red Bull cans assembled to spell out
“Marry Me?” and Brendon would have fainted right off the bus if Ryan weren't there to
“Yes. I say yes, Ry.” Ryan kissed Brendon's neck and ear.
“I love you, Bren. And I'll spend the rest of our lives proving it.”
“I love you, too, Ry. But, just, how?”
“Boston. It's legal in Massachusetts and soon enough, it will be legal in California.”
“May eleventh. We can have family and friends, or just everyone that's on tour. It's up to
Ryan and Brendon got married in Boston on May 11th. As requested, family and friends were
there to support their friends who were dead set on committing themselves to each other.
After the Honda Civic Tour, all four boys took a break. Ryan and Brendon bought a house a moved in.
Two months later, they adopted a boy and named him Casey Mason Urie-Ross. That month, Spencer and
Haley got married.
After the release of Panic's third album and during their tour, Jon found out Cassie was pregnant.
They got married after the tour and had a beautiful baby girl. A month later, Brendon and Ryan
adopted a girl and named her Juliet Tessa Urie-Ross.
Although all four boys had families to take care of, Panic At The Disco continued. Jon and Cassie
moved out to Las Vegas to make it easier on everyone. The Panic Kids were exactly like their fathers
in their own ways.
In case you were wondering, Ryan and Brendon spent every day of their lives proving time and time
again that they loved the other and only the other.
