The Creature in the Woods
By Trynnis

Far away in Romania where paople believed in warewolves and shape shifting, in Transyvania lived four best friends, Alexandriena, Madaline, fane and Sorin.

????? All over Romania, parents would tell their children stories about warewolves and shape shifting. In Transylvania they say that there is something in the woods and it comes out at night to feed on stray animals. Paarents tell their children not to go out at night because of they do the creature in the woods would get them.
Alexandriena, Madalina, Fane and Sorin didnt believe in such tales. They thought that it was lie the parents were telling to keep the kids in at night.

??? Alexandriena and Madalina were sisters. Alexandriena was the oldest at the age of 19. She has long, dark hair, big brown eyes and pale skin. Madaline is 18, with short curly brown hair and blue eyes. Fane is 18, 5'9, with short black hair and wide eyes witha? hint of purple in them and high cheekbones. Sorin is 17, the youngest. He is 5'11, with short brown hair.

????? It was a warm day in Transylvania of August 23, 1999. The sun was shining high above the trees and there was no wind. Big, white fluffy clouds floated across the light blue shy and people walked down the streets, past the old stone houses, getting whatever it was they needed and visiting friends.

??? Alexandriena, Madalina, Fane and Sorinf were haning out arounf an old abondoned church, lying on the long green grass, talking about whatever came to mind. As the day went on it started to get darker. Night was approching. The people started to head inside. Soon everyone was inside were it was safe, except for Alexandriena, Madlina, Fane and Sorin, who were still hanging arounf the church.

????? A full moon illuminated the black sky. There was no wind, not a creature stirred. A light fog haunted the streets.
Alexandriena got up, stretching said, "C'mon lets go." Sorin loked at her, "Go where?"
"To the edge of the woods. Since there is no such thing as warewolves nothing will happen."? Replied Alexandriena. "Ya, guess your right." Agreed Sorin. The other three got up and followed her towards the woods.

???? As ther walked through the dark streets, lined with old stone houses, and moonliht lighting their waay, the only thing they could hear was the sound of heir footsteps and Alexandriena's jokes about the stories their parents told them. As they were walking past an alley, Madalina starred down it. A pair of big yellow eyes starred back at her. Madalina quickly looked away, a little shaken. "Something's in the alley, it had big yellow eyes." She told Fane. "Relax, it's probably just a buf rat." Was the only answer he gave her. she drew out a breath and Fane patted her on the back to reassure her it was nothing. They continued on, but Madalina heard an extra set of footsteps behind them. She looked behind her. Nothing. "Guys, I think we should go in." She said. Alexandriena stopped and turned to face her sister. "Are you kidding me? There's nothing in those woods. There's no such thing as warewolves. Nothing bad will happen. If we can make it through the night wee can prove the parents wrong."
"But, I really think we should go home." Alexandriena was annoyed. "FINE! GO HOME! Your such a scaredy cat!" Alexandriena continues on. Madalina stood there for a minute. "Wait up!" She called.

??????? They were now at the edge of the woods. The tall trees towered over them. The woods were thick, and dark, the moonlight didnt shine here, the four were left in the dark completely. "HELLO! ANY WAREWOLVES IN THERE!" Alexandriena called into the woods. She got nothing in return. "See, no big bad wolve in there." Not too far away from the four, they could hear a howl. Madalina jumped. " Awww are you afraid of a little howl?" Teased Alexandriena. She walked closer to the woods, and took a step into they. Darkness. The others couls still slightly see her outline. She felt arounf a bit. After a few mintues, she heard a loud snap from close by, like a twig snapping. she stood still. "You ok?" Asked Fane. "Ya I"m fine." She replied. Alexandriena took a step out and went to the others. "See nothing."
"Alright now lets go" coomplained Madalina. Before anyone could answer her, a heavy breathing was coming from behind Alexandriena. A big pair of yellow eyes appeared behind her. Alexandriena turned arounf and let out a scream.
They started to run away into the moonlight. The creatue chased after them. It was huge, ran on four legs, but when standing it stood on two. It had large, sharp white teeth, a thick brown, furry coat covering it and long sharp claws. Alexandriena fell hard onto the ground. she didn;t get up fast enough, the creature came u?p on her and sunk its teeth into her leg. She letf out a most deafening scream and the creature dragged her away. The other three watched in horror as it carried her away into the woods. Alexandriena was never seen again.
Never again did they go out at night.

????? So maybe next time you'll listen to your parents when they tell?you not to go out, or you could end up like Alexandriena. Dead.
