What's up? The name's Frank, Frank Iero, to be exact. I'm not gonna bore you with my life story, so I'll just get straight to the point. A lot of people ask me what I believe in. Broad question, right? Yeah, well people are always asking me this question in a different way or form.

Like, some people ask if I believe in superstitions. Y'know, the usual; black cats, broken mirrors, walking under ladders. Well let me tell you, you're more likely to see me standing under a ladder, holding a black cat and staring into a broken mirror, than see me tossing salt over my shoulder. So, in short, no, I don't believe in superstitions.

Others ask me if I believe in fairytale creatures, like fairies and unicorns. I tell them I believe that everything we see has another side to it. And if the other side of a horse happens to be a unicorn, then yeah, I guess I believe in fairytale creatures.

One or two might ask me if I believe in stuff like vampires, werewolves, mummies, etc. I tell them the ideas had to originate somewhere.

And then there's the big one:

"Frank Iero, do you believe in God?"

::sighs::

I do believe there's something out there, and I'm leaning more towards God than any other possibility. What I don't believe in, is people's interpretations of God, which causes a lot of people to say I don't believe in him. (That's another thing, I don't believe in capitalizing pronouns referring to God.) See why it's complicated?

As I sit on the couch of our tour bus, pondering what exactly I believe in, I look to an armchair across from me. Gerard is seated in the chair, and Mikey is in his lap. Mikey moves a wisp of hair from Gerard's face and curls it behind his ear, kissing the end of Gerard's nose lightly. Then they're holding each other, eyes closed, not saying a word, but still smiling because they're together. I smile lightly, almost sadly; I know it's hard for them, hiding their love. Incest isn't exactly accepted in our parts. Yet they're in front of me, completely happy just to be wrapped up in each other. I feel honored that they trust me to be witness to what they have. They don't expect anything from each other, they don't ask for anything; just each other's presence and happiness is enough. What they have is beautiful; It's unconditional.

It suddenly dawns on me that I believe in exactly what Mikey and Gerard have.

I believe in love in it's purest form.
