eyes

Isn't there something so interesting about eyes? They can capture you in a second and send you into a world of complete confusion. They can even tell you deep, dark secrets that were meant to be buried and forgotten about but eyes always betray you, there's no hiding.

His eyes fascinated me; I couldn't get over those intelligent orbs of life that acted as a window to the vibrant soul of their owner.

They held the unmistakable knowledge of a lifetime spent in turmoil but still possessed a light; bright enough to blind the average viewer if they dared to look too close.

Anyone else would have lost that light, that vibrancy after seeing what he has but you couldn't dampen his spirit, you couldn't dull those eyes that would tell you his feelings in a second. He tried to hide behind a cruel exterior but those emotive eyes always revealed to me the true goings on inside the murky depths of his blackened mind.

It's always too painful when you loose something like that from your life. It always hurts just that little bit more when you only realize what was there after it's gone. It isn't something you can recreate or even just imagine in your mind's eye. Nothing compares to the brilliant spark of life that those eyes held, not even the best imagination could conjure up an image even close to the reality.

It's almost enough to break your own spirit when you have to watch the life slowly drain away from someone like him.

You watch the soul slowly disappear as they let their life slip away into oblivion, as they tell you they love you but it's now impossible to tell if it's true because that spark of emotion is gone; clouded by a shroud of death.

The breath is slowing, the love is disappearing, the thoughts are leaving, the love of my life is dying….the eyes are fading.
