Life's Taking a Turn for the Worst.
By alyssaa-xo

Alyssa's birthday party was all that was on groups mind. They each had a different job. Chuck was in charge of just general organizing, like when somebody ordered or bought something, they gave it to him because they knew he wouldn't lose it. Megan and her friends were in charge of general planning, like setting the location, and buying stuff. Pierre and Patrick said that when the party comes, they would like to help decorate. Charlotte was doing the invitations, she was given a list of people to send an invitation to, but she was also allowed to put a couple people on the list. David and Seb weren't helping so much with the actual party, David was preoccupied with other things, and Seb was helping David plan something huge of his own.

“So David, have you bought it yet?” Jeff asked his friend.

“No, I haven't seen one that I liked,” David answered him.

“Is it okay if we all go next time?” Chuck asked.

“Yeah, I'd love it! You guys are like the brothers I never had so it'd mean the world to me!” David answered all excited.

“Sweet,” Seb laughed, even though he went today when David went shopping.

“Shut up Sebby, you went today didn't you?” Pierre asked him.

“Yeah, I don't really like planning parties. So I was helping David plan something of his own,” Seb answered him.

Just then we all heard a scream come from downstairs. We all looked at Jeff, and all suddenly became worried.

“Uhm, I… I'll be back in a minute!” He stuttered and ran out of the room and down the stairs.

I had never run so fast in my life, and hearing Charlotte screaming in pain from downstairs made me freak out. Last week we had gone to the doctors and found out that she had a rare disease. We also found out that when the doctor told us before Chuck's wedding that she was only a month pregnant, it wasn't true. By that point she was three months and didn't show many signs of it.

Now at this point in time, she is about eight and a half months along. At any time we could be blessed with the new baby.

“Charlotte, what's wrong?” I asked her.

“I THINK I'M HAVING MY BABY!!” she yelled.

“OH MY GOD,” I yelled while going to pick her up, and grabbing our coats and my car keys.

“Lauren, be a good girl for your Uncles, I'll see you in a couple hours,” I said to Lauren.

“Daddy, why's Mommy crying? Is the baby okay?” she asked in her cute little voice.

“Everything's okay, but just listen to your Uncles. Can you promise me that?” I asked her.

“Yes Daddy, I love you and Mommy! Don't be gone to long, I hate it when you aren't here,” she called after us as I walked up the stairs with her in my arms.

Patrick, and Alyssa were talking in the living room as we walked past.

“Jeff, need a babysitter?” she asked.

“Thank you so much Alyssa,” I thanked her while leaving, “Pat tell the guys!”

“Will do,” he said while grabbing his phone.

“Hi Lauren,” I said to the cutest little girl I've ever seen.

“Auntie Alyssa! Daddy said my Uncles were watching me,” Lauren said.

“Uncle Pat's upstairs, but every body else went somewhere,” I informed her.

“Okay,” she said in her cute little girl voice.

“So, I know it's around your bed time but I bet you are super excited! In a couple hours you will have a little brother or sister,” I told her.

“I want a sister, I'd want her name to be Alyssa, just like yours! But if I get a brother I want to name his be Philippe,” she giggled.

“You want a sister named Alyssa?” I asked her.

“Yeah, I love that name!” she smiled.

“Well I'm sure whatever name your parents pick out you will love too,” I said, “But I think we should watch a movie so maybe you get some rest tonight cutie!”

“Can we watch Finding Nemo?” she asked me.

“If that's what you want to watch yeah!” I said while she ran to the other side of the room to grab the dvd.

I turned on the movie and within a half hour she was asleep. Then David and Chuck came downstairs to check on their little niece. They said that Jeff called and wanted us to be at the hospital as soon as possible. He wanted Lauren's help naming the baby, so she would need to be there when the baby was born.

I gently woke her up and told her that the Daddy wanted help naming the baby. She was so excited and ran to her room to get dressed and get her favorite doll Lizzie.

I sat there watching Charlotte going through the pain of having her baby. It killed me to see her like that, but the doctor said that in a few minutes we would have our new baby in our arms.

I was just about to call Chuck when the nurse came into the room and said that my daughter was here.

“Mr. Stinco?” she asked.

“Call me Jeff,” I laughed.

“Okay… Jeff. Your daughter is here now,” she said while leading Lauren into the room and leaving.

“Lauren, sweetie! Do you have a name in mind for the baby?” I asked.

“Actually I do Daddy! Can we name it Alyssa?” she asked in the cutest voice ever.

“I'd love to, but is that really fair to Aunt Tiffany? And what if it is a boy?” I asked her.

“Daddy, I don't like Aunt Tiffany. And if it's a boy can we name it Philippe?” she asked.

“Do you like that name?” I asked her.

“Yes Daddy!” she said in her cute little girl voice again.

We sat there for about an hour just talking and she was really excited to become a big sister to the new baby. I was telling her about the different types of things she might have to help Mommy with now that it wasn't just her.

“Congratulations Mr. Stinco… I mean Jeff, you have a beautiful baby boy,” the nurse said while handing over my new son.

“Lauren, say hello to your new baby brother,” I said while lowering the baby.

“He's so cute Daddy, I love him as much as I love Mommy and you,” she squealed.

Then I went and sat on the edge of the hospital bed and handed our son to Charlotte. She had the biggest smile on her face because she said she always wanted to have a son. Then the doctor came back into the room asking what we would like to name our son, and handed us the papers we needed to fill out. We named him Philippe David Pierre Charles Sebastien Patrick Stinco.

The guys all came in the room one by one. First it was Chuck and Tiffany.

“Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwh, Charlotte your son is soooooooo cute! Chuck I want a baby now tooo!” Tiffany awed.

“Maybe later hun, I told you after the wedding and honeymoon I need to focus on the new album,” Chuck said to her.

Then after they left the room, and Tiffany was like begging Chuck for a baby. David and Alyssa came in the room just after. They were holding hands and smiling.

“Oh my god Char, he's gorgeous!” Alyssa congratulated us.

“Hey Jeff, he's even got your looks at such a young age,” David laughed, “He's got it all, even the baldness and your big half Italian nose!”

“Shut it David,” I laughed.

“Daddy, why is Uncle David laughing and talking really quietly?” Lauren asked.

“I'll tell you later sweetie,” I told her.

David and Alyssa left and the rest of the guys came in. They all congratulated us, and were happy to see that everything was okay, and that the newest addition to the Stinco family was perfect.

**2 Days Later**

Charlotte was allowed to leave the hospital and we were excited that we could all be a family together. We were walking down the hall past the waiting room when we saw our family doctor walking towards us.

“Congratulations on the baby,” he said.

“Thank you,” Charlotte answered.

“I need to talk to you, Charlotte in private. It's about your test results,” he said with a monotone voice.

“But I can't just leave my family, can't I just come in tomorrow during the day to see them,” she asked.

“No, it's very urgent! I think you would rather know now,” he said.

“Char, it's okay I can take care of them,” I said.

She was walking away, and trying to keep a smile on her face. I crossed my fingers that she was okay, and perfectly healthy. This very rare disease that she has, can be very deadly.

It was about twenty minutes later when Charlotte came back out of the office crying. I would have set down Philippe and ran to check if she was okay, but since a two day old baby being set down isn't too smart, I decided to walk over with him in my arms.

“Baby, what's wrong?” I asked her.

“Tell me you will always love me, no matter what may happen!” she cried.

“Charlotte you know I will love you until my dying day and even after that!” I said.

She just kept on crying and she was starting to freak out Lauren because she started crying too. Charlotte picked her up in her arms and they both cried together.

That night when Jeff and his family got home they all seemed pretty upset about something, and went straight down stairs. I told the guys that Jeff will tell us when he is ready to, and when I said that it especially meant David. He loved to know what was going on, so I told Alyssa to go out with him somewhere tonight.

I said goodbye to Tiffany and left for my hockey meeting. I drove in silence listening to old Simple Plan songs on my stereo. When I got to the arena I parked next to a very familiar car, strange that looks just like… never mind it can't be him.

“Hello, I'm here for the meeting,” I said to a lady at the front desk.

She just pointed me in the right direction and went back to typing something on her MAC.

I walked into the room full of guys my age. Then I sat down at the table next to some guy with brown hair. I turned to look at him, so say hi when I noticed who he was.

“WHAT THE HELL!?!” I yelled.

“Uhm, what do you want?” he said giving me a weird look, then his eyes widened and under his breath he mumbled, “Shit!”

“Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be some big shot hockey player?” I asked him.

“Fuck off, I didn't focus hard enough when I was a teen so I never made it anywhere with hockey!” he said.

“Sorry, but can I ask why?” I asked him/

“Girlfriends and such, then I started smoking and that's when I really wrecked a lot of my chances,” he said.

I just laughed and he gave me a dirty look and went back to talking to whoever he was talking to.

That night when I got home, I went up to my room and Tiffany was still awake. She was talking on her phone to somebody.

“SHIT! I gotta go… No seriously…. Chuck's home…. You are gonna get my marriage split apart…. FUCK OFF!” she said while hanging up the phone.

“What was that about?” I asked her.

“Nothing,” she said.

“Fine,” I said while getting ready to go to bed.

Alyssa's POV

The next morning I promised Tiffany I'd take her to the pregnancy office for a check up and to see if she really was pregnant. We walked into the office and she said I could go sit down. I saw that Madelyn was there so I sat down beside her.

“Hi Mady, long time no see,” I joked.

“It'd just be too awkward, I feel bad enough for what I did to Pierre. But on top of it I hurt you,” she said.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“You know how I'm pregnant not with Pierre's baby right?” she asked.

“Yes, what about the baby? Who's the father?” I asked.

“Well that's the thing, I hated myself for it! That's why after Chuck's wedding I stayed away from all of you until I knew it was one hundred percent true,” she said.

“Just tell me,” I said.

“The baby's father is Lorenzo… Don't hate me!” she said.

“Bitch, you really are a fucking piece of worthless shit like Pierre said you are. I hope you rot in hell, that's just something you don't do to a friend, you stupid whore!” I yelled at her.

“I hated myself for it, but I can't take it back Alyssa,” she said.

“Fuck off, never even try to say we are friends or anything. Have a great life,” I said while getting up and leaving the office.

I bet Tiffany was pissed off, but I couldn't stand being near that slut any longer than I already had.

General POV

Just when life seemed slightly perfect, something had to go wrong. Nobody knew what was wrong with Charlotte and it was killing them inside. Chuck and Tiffany were on the rocks again, and Alyssa lost a friend. Everybody was praying for something good to happen, especially with Alyssa's birthday coming up.
