The black parade.

The black parade

Oh, It was a beautiful array of colours. It was a stream of angered emotions. It was anguish. It was horror. It was beautiful.

The most beautiful horrible sight ever seen. The emotions hung above them, from over thought hatred to childish thoughts of love. He watched as these beautiful strangers danced. They danced away every memory. They danced away every feeling until they were nothing. He could sense everything that they felt. It was unbearable to watch and even more unbearable to look away. The ash coloured horizon slowly fading into the distance, but still they danced in a marching manner. Still they moved in rhythm with the sound that seemed to be coming from them. They moved in time with the low humming song. It was a song that everyone knew the lyrics to. He walked along slowly following them, intrigued by their passion of the unknown. The spark in their eye. He was fascinated by them because they knew they were going nowhere, they were over. They had died. Yet, they still danced moving slowly away. Maybe one day, they would get somewhere, find their place in the afterlife. But for now, he joined them. Slowly, he forgot everything too. Just like them, he danced and marched. After many months in pain from this unwanted cancer, he was no longer in pain. He had finally joined the black parade.
