Chapter Thirteen - Vampires Will Never Hurt You (Sure Bout That?)

Gerard's P.O.V (still)

I turned to see Kia pulling herself up from the floor. She flapped her arms about trying to find where we were.

“Damn! I wished Id paid attention to Lee when he was teaching me about using hearing instead of sight.” Kia growled after falling back down to the floor.

Blonde haired girl sighed. “Well Kia, it is your fault so don't shout at us about it. Just calm down, okay?”

Kia looked over at us with her strange odd eyes. One was green and one was brown…maybe that's what happens to people when they get turned?

“I know Sara, okay! This is hard for me! I've always been able to see and fight and now I feel like some pathetic 2 year old!” She screamed, her fangs showing themselves off as she did.

“Kia, don't feel that way. We are going to fix your sight, I promise.” The blonde haired girl whose name appeared to be Sara said.

Sara walked over to the vampire and helped her get up off the floor.

`I gotta kill this vampire while she's weak.' I thought as I stroked my thumb over the blade I had sneakily took out of Sara's coat

“Hey sir, can you help me over here. She weighs a tonne!” Sara yelled making Kia growl at her.

“All vampires are heavy Sara, its something what happens when you get turned. So it's not my fault.”

“Ah ha, you keep telling yourself that darling.” Sara replied grinning.

“Don't worry I will.” Kia answered back also smiling a little. The smile disappeared after 2 seconds and was replaced by the cold serious look once again.

I walked over and took Kia's right arm and we began to walk over to the chair in the corner of the room.

“By the way call me Gerard.” I said, smiling at Sara. She seemed like a nice lass, wasn't sure about the vampire though.

I ran my thumb over the blade again which was now hanging in my coat.

Suddenly Kia stopped and started to sniff the air.

“Kia…what's wrong?” Sara asked, trying to pull her friend forward.

“I smell blood.” Kia replied, still smelling the air.

I looked down to my thumb, there it was. Blood pouring out through a cut I must have made on the blade.

Suddenly I felt myself falling to the floor. Kia was sitting on my stomach with my thumb in her mouth. I felt the blood been sucked away from the cut.

I pushed her off, ripped the blade out of my jacket and stabbed it into her heart. She just smirked and felt around for the blade before pulling it out and throwing it away.

Kia jumped back on me again but this time instead of feeding off my thumb she dug her fangs into my neck.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!” I screamed as the pain rushed through my body.

“Kia! Get off him!” Sara yelled before ripping Kia off me and shoving something down her throat.

The vampire growled and screamed a little before coming to a halt on the floor. She was totally out.

“What the fuck happened?” I asked, picking myself up off the floor.

“She obviously hasn't had any of her special drink lately so she ended up attacking you. I was wondering why she was snappier and angrier than usual.” Sara replied, dragging the sleeping vampire to the chair.

“Wait! How did she know where I was if she was blind?”

“She smelt where blood was and just followed it. Vampires are like that. That's why it's best not to cut yourself.”

“Okay, I understand that but what was that stuff which made her sleep?” I asked running over to Sara.

“Just an antidote I made. Holy Water and Dead Mans Blood. Both can kill an average vampire but if used in equal and safe proportions it can knock them out for a while.”

“Well how longs a while?” I asked.

“All depends on the strength of the vampire. With Kia, cos she's strong, maybe 30 minutes to about an hour.” Sara said, placing the vampire down into the chair.

“What about a normal vampire?”

“The maximum is about 6 hours and the minimum is 15 minutes.” Sara sighed, obviously getting tired of my questions.

I nodded my head yes and grinned a little. I had a brilliant idea in mind.
