For All The Love A Sunset Has
By ForLovers

She moves as free as the wind. Her motions are more graceful than one can imagine. She sparkles with the light of the night sky from the view on a mountaintop. And I am hopelessly in love with her.
I have loved her from beginning and I shall love her until the end. To her I am merely a boy she has known since grade school. Each day I think of her in hopes that she too thinks of me. I think of her eyes, shining like emeralds in the sun. I think of her hair, long lengths of moonlight fallen to earth. I think of her skin, the smoothness of the texture and the pastel of the color. I think of her wondrous and kind nature and of her voice, carrying the beauty of one million swans.
All I think of is Olivia.
***
He glides across the floor as no other does and he nears perfection with each passing moment. I am too in love with him to account the ways I adore him.
From the start, I have found a desire for him. This desire burns with the passion of a white-hot sun. Nothing shall change how I feel and no one shall take this passion from me. He is my everything and I never stop thinking about him. His eyes are deep raging oceans and his hair is no darker than the mane of a lion. His skin possesses the miracle of flawlessness and his ways of kindness are truly touching.
Jonathan is all I dream of.

For all of eternity a pair such as this has been longed for, yet it shall never be found. Olivia is arranged to marry another...another less beauteous, less kind, less passionate. Jonathan can do nothing but watch as his destined love is given to a different man, a man who only desires the treasures Olivia holds. Such a romance has not been seen by humankind in hundreds of years.

“We are gathered as one family to unite the two young people in front of me in a forever loving bond. Olivia and Patrick, may you be blessed throughout all eternity with everlasting love from each other, from friends, and from family. As I unite these two lovers together in matrimony, I ask any who believe this bond should be undone forever more to speak or forever hold their reason in silence and regret.”
Jonathan stood from the back to acknowledge this opportunity.
“I shall not sit here to watch my love of many years be given to this man willingly by her family and her friends. I stand here today to give all in this room a reason these two should not be wed today or any other day after this. Olivia, I have withheld a passion and love for you from the beginning. Not a day passes that I do not think of you, your beauty, your kindness, and your love.”
All that were watching Jonathan moved their eyes to turn to Olivia. They sat in silence, awaiting a response from her.
“Jonathan, I have longed for you to produce such words of love. My love for you is such like the burning of a white-hot sun and I too think of you each day. I think of your eyes, of your hair, of your kindness, and of the love that I have always wished to receive from you.”
The congregation of the wedding merely sat, stunned. Patrick, the only one of each person in the room who remained aware of the situation strode up to Jonathan and raised a fist. Jonathan simply took both of Patrick's wrists and kept them by his side.
“Patrick, I never intended to hurt you as much as I have. You, as well as Olivia's parents, are the only people that have been blind to the fact the Olivia has loved me for so long. Now, I only wish for your blessing of happiness and prosperity as I have given mine to you in loving-kindness. Please do not forsake the love that Olivia and I share, have shared, and always will share. I will cherish her forever more, with or without a blessing from you.”
Several silent minutes passed and Jonathan let go of Patrick.
“Jonathan...do you promise that forever forth you will love Olivia, never leave Olivia, comfort Olivia, and always cherish Olivia until the end of your life?”
“Yes Patrick. I shall uphold this promise beyond the grave.”
“Then, you shall have my blessing of happiness and of prosperity.”
Jonathan embraced Patrick and Olivia ran to the pair of them.
“Thank you Patrick. I shall never forget this.”
Olivia kissed Patrick on each cheek and turned to hold Jonathan.

“If there be no objections by the congregation... I take pride in pronouncing this couple, the pair of Jonathan and Olivia, wed forever more. You, the groom, may now kiss your bride and you, the bride, may now kiss your groom.”
And as Jonathan and Olivia shared their kiss, bonding them forever to the other, the sun set on a wondrous and loving scene...beginning a new life for the newly wedded couple.
