High School Reunion
By Flag Beotch
Pete held the sidekick in his hand just staring at the blue screen that held all of his problems.
How could he be so stupid! Now his privet life was on the internet. What could he do? Wait nothing.
The only thing he could do was watch in horror as the file spread like wild fire on to computer
screens across America. And who knows about the rest of the world probably them too. All of the rage
and pent up frustration in him needed a way to escape. Suddenly Pete threw the phone across the room
nearly missing Patrick's head as he walked into the room.
“Hey! Gees what the hell. You nearly took out my head there” Patrick yelped
“Sorry pat I didn't mean to take out your precious little head that mommy loves so much”
Pete practically drooled sarcasm.
“Hey you leave my mother out of this got it bud?” Patrick pointed his finger in Pete's
face and waved it around to emphasize his point.
“Fine. Hey get your finger out of my face before I break it off.”
“Fine. But I just came to remind you that my friend Ana is coming over. She's a little
difficult to handle so just be patient with her ok? Patrick looked meaningfully at him making sure
he understood. Pete seemed to recognize the look.
“Ok mom ill be a good little boy. You happy now?” Pete was once again the king of
sarcasm. Patrick only nodded and walked out of the room. Why did that name ring a bell? The door
bell sounded and Pete reluctantly went downstairs and waited for Patrick to open the door. It seemed
forever that the door finally opened. It was like slow mo. Then a familiar face stepped through the
door way. Pete's eyes grew huge in recognition as did hers'. She spoke first
“Oh this is just great! How are you Pete you asshole!” she took a step toward him only
to have Patrick pull her back.
“You two know each other?” Patrick asked obviously confused.
“Yeah.” Pete replied “We went to high school together.” Pete said form
between clenched teeth.
The tension was so thick you could have cut it with a knife. Everyone just glared at each other with
such venom in their eyes. Pete broke the silence first.
“So you come to relive old times? Cause if that is the case you can leave right now there is
no way in hell I'm going to let you touch me again.” He said crossing his arms.
“There is no way in hell you could get me to try.” She said with a smirk on her face.
She had pegged him. She knew it, he knew it, and he hated her for it. All he could do was walk away
and he did this is just the kind of day that he needed. Him on the internet and his ex lover here
with his best friend as friends. “That was in high school you were stupid and crazy so just
think you're a successful rock star and she is still a pile of …” Pete whispered to
himself. But what stunned him the most was he still couldn't bring himself to say anything bad about
her. Call him crazy he thought he still might have feelings for her. Damn this day just got better
and better didn't it. He walked into the kitchen to grab a drink and stopped dead in his tracks.
There she was on her hands and knees crawling around on his kitchen floor. Yep he was still a guy
and yes he still had to admit she did have a nice backside. Shaking his head he walked into the
kitchen to the sink.
“Hey! Jackasses watch it I lost my contact and you probably just stepped on it!” she
“Just the same as you always were.” Pete knelt down and picked the contact off of her
shirt then held it up in her face.
She looked a bit sheepish as she took the contact form his hand.
“Thank you.” She said as she snatched the contact from his finger. She put it in and
looked up at him. Yep he was still hot. But she wondered if he still had that body of his. How could
she pretend to hate him when she really didn't? What happened in high school was long gone and done
they promised each other when they graduated that they wouldn't hold a grudge. Then and even now she
told herself he would only break her heart again. But even so she knew the feelings were still there
and still strong even after all these years.
Pete looked at her face and knew what he was going to do was maybe stupid but he had to do it any
way. He pulled her head to him and captured her lips with his.
Ana was surprised by his actions as old memories came flooding back. The nights they were out till
5:00. He would pick her up in the middle of the night and they would make out in the back seat of
his car. But those times were gone and he was now a famous rock star and she was still a nothing.
She pulled back from his scorching kiss trying to get some oxygen into her lunges. He was also
breathing heavy as he rested his forehead against hers. His hand tangled in her hair. They sat like
that for what seemed forever until they finally were breathing steady. Ana still saw stars from it.
All she could do was breath. He then placed a gentle kiss on her lips and brushed them with his
thumb. That tiny action made her melt inside all over again. It was high school all over again.
Pete could barley speak as they both rose from the floor still holding each other. But did he
really have to? Reluctantly she took a step back from him and straightened her clothes.
“Well thanks again for helping me with my… thing.” She said awkwardly Pete just
“You're welcome.” She gave a slight nod and walked out of the room. Her presents still
lingered in the room as Pete looked around. What had he come in here for? Like he could remember
now. But her kiss still lingered on his lips and he knew she would linger on his heart.
