Fallen Hearts
By dancexforxlife

A/N: This was something I had to write for school. We had to choose a theme from a particularly sad poem, and I chose unrequited love. So, I wrote this…..with a hint of Panic! at the Disco.

The day finally came. The day I gathered enough courage tell Allison that I love her. I have secretly loved her behind a veil of friendship for the last five years.

I helped her get settled in Las Vegas when she moved here. I introduced her to Brendon, my best friend since the age of six. I kept quiet all those years I watched the two of them grow closer and closer together. I caused all my misery, and now I intended to fix it.

“Hey Nate-”

“Searching for Allison, Ry? Check with Brendon,” my friend Nate answered before I could ask.

I continued searching the house we all shared. I couldn't find her in anyway of the bedrooms or the game room. I decided to check in the band's practice room. I got to the beginning of the hallway and I could already hear Brendon playing guitar and Allison singing one of our songs. I sprinted the rest of the way. I could hear them laughing and talking on the other side. I started to knock, but thought better of it and decided to listen first.

“I love you so much Allie.”

“I love you too Bear.”

“Allison, will you marry me?” My breath hitched in my throat.

“Of course I will Brendon!” She sounded so excited. My hand dropped lifeless by my side. I slowly turned around, my heart shattered piece by piece with every step I took.
