Forty-Two Days

Forty-Two Days

Jon Walker's POV

I counted the days that had passed.

42.

Forty- two days was a lot. Brought up together it makes 6. Six can be divided 2 times. But then again, we still have 42.

You probably all think I'm insane. Perhaps, I wouldn't know. I do know I haven't been myself lately. Then again I do not believe I am insane. Or am I?

When a situation like that happens, you change. Days that seem to go on seem to pass a year. You wonder if you haven't slept all year `round. Then you realize only a day passed.

You lose everything and everyone by lack of socialism. People call but you don't answer. You destroy the things that remind you about every memory. You try to forget, but nothing wants to disappear.

You decide drinking.
You think it will make everything go away. All those memories, flash backs, phone calls, letters, pictures… You want them all to go away.
They never do.

Why? You wonder why your world crashed when it was all good. Why tomorrow never comes with him again. Why every morning seems to fade away.

So maybe all of this was meant to be? That all those years were meant to end in tragedy?

Time often makes us go nuts. It kills everyday. It breaks people apart. It makes moments last forever. Sometimes it does well. Though in this situation, everything just turned upside down.

By the end of the day, it's still only 42 days that have passed. Still no sign of that one you wish to have back in your arms tightly wrapped.

Still no sign, of my Ryan Ross.
