Broken Souls
By DeadEnd

Let my broken soul take flight on the fragile wings of hope, to take me away from this world of fruitless efforts and childish dreams.

Is there nothing to live for once the golden days have passed, once the parties are over, and everyone goes home. Somehow we're always left with the same empty feeling, longing for more.

Relentless torture of the spirit, like a kick in the ribs when you're down, low blow. An insult from those that have climbed higher in the social ladder. Not that we care. At times, all this life gives us out of tragedy is hope for a better tomorrow. Only when tomorrow finally comes, we find ourselves more beaten and dancing to the raining gunshots being fired down at our feet.

All the same, life is what you make it, and you are what it turns you into. To resist against your true self only wastes what could be golden ages

Days turn to nights, nights back into days, all the while surprising you with unimaginable beauty, almost makes you lust for life. The splendor of sunrises and sunsets, we all so often fail to notice.

It's a chain that never ends until it finishes you off or you do yourself in. We live and die trying. In the end, its yours to live, take it back from their fiery death grips and make it your own. The biggest mistake anyone could make is living without their thunder.
