Murdoc's Secret
By Isawthatday

Gorillaz Short Story: Murdoc's Secret

This is sort of a warm up story; it has nothing to do with the actual Gorillaz I just made it up through my twisted mind. Of course the Gorillaz don't belong to me, I just stole them briefly from Jamie, Damon, and the Flesh Eaters, so no need to sue me. This story contains dry humor.

Noodle couldn't help but sigh, Murdoc's angry voice drifted from the downstairs lobby to her room the words were hard to make out but she knew he was angrier than usual. She set down the book she had been reading and stood up, the book was boring anyway so she may as well investigate what was going on. She walked silently into the hall, dodging a demon that was spray painting something about Murdoc having a mother obsession. She started to press the elevator button to take her down to the lobby when 2D walked out of the hallway leading to her room.

"Wot's wif all the shoutin'?" he asked her rubbing his ever aching head.

"I thought he was yelling at you," Noodle confessed. "I was about to go down and..."

Russel walked out of his room rubbing his bald head. He regarded the small violet Japanese haired girl, and the tall spiky blue haired man with surprise.

"I thought he was after one of you."

The three of them looked at each other in confusion, unsure of what to do.

"We should go check on him," Noodle decided at last. "It might be a poor fan, Jamie or Damon."

The other two agreed reluctantly, and Russel started to press the button down.

"What's up?"

All three of them jumped in unison.

"Aw did you see that?"

They turned to face the intruders…

"Damon, Jamie!" 2D stated in confusion.

"The same," Jamie said taking a drag from his cigarette.

"What's with the shouting we heard him in the studio," Damon said ignoring 2D's obvious remark.

"I thought he cornered 2D-san," Noodle explained. "2D thought he cornered me, and Russel thought he had one of us. And then we assumed he cornered the two of you."

Damon raised his eyebrows: "Funny, we thought he had Russel."

A demon ran by cackling and spraying a red line across the wall as it waddled more than ran down the hall.

"So you think he gotta fan?" Jamie asked.

"Well since we're all here"

"BLOODY HELL WOMAN!"

That was loud and clear, the men rushed to press the elevator button while Noodle backed up so she wouldn't get trampled.

"Argh! If he gets sued"... Jamie started.

"The world tour..." Damon reminded them.

2D who had the longest arms and fingers hit the button.

"Yuttarishita umou (Clam down)!" Noodle yelled to angry to remember English.

The men obeyed almost instantly.

"Panicking won't do anything!" she said remembering they couldn't understand her native langue.

The elevator arrived, and they walked in as calmly as possible with Noodle close behind. They arrived in the lobby expecting the worst and were shocked to find it was empty…

"Ah! Maybe 'e killed 'er!" 2D asked in panic.

Noodle hovered near the security desk as the men looked around, for clues.

"NO BAD CHOICE!"

Noodle jumped slightly and sighed in relief, the others (except for 2D caught on instantly).

"I get it, it was the security speaker," Russel said rubbing his bald head. "It must've been left on by accident."

"Then why is the volume all the way up?" Damon asked switching it off.

A demonic cackle tipped them off.

"Demons," they said in unison.

"So he must be in his bago," Russel mused.

The men nodded and Noodle smiled, before reality hit them.

"Oh crap!" Jamie and Damon yelled in unison.

They rushed out to the carpark, Noodle cut them off.

"Panic doesn't help anyone," she reminded them. "Neither does assuming something."

She gestured them to lean in and whispered a plan in to them.

Minutes later she sat comfortably on Jamie's shoulders, trying to look through the grubby windows. 2D had volunteered to hold her up they decided he was too tall and his hair could be spotted a mile away. Noodle managed to find a clear spot and looked in, Murdoc was sitting on the grubby couch, shockingly wearing pants. A beer can rested on his developing beer belly stomach and he glared up at the TV screen.

"What's he doin'?" Jamie asked holding her by the ankles, rather than by the knees or hips stating it would seem like the wrong idea. 2D of course didn't get it until Russel explained it to him.

"Watching the TV," Noodle whispered.

"You don't think he's looking for us?" 2D asked slightly freaked. Out of the five of them he was the one that would get punished.

"Iya (no), he's watching something on TV it looks like a show," she informed in. "Ara waga!"

"English please!" Damon hissed.

"I said: Oh my," she said glaring down at him. "He's watching..."

Murdoc turned and looked right at her, he looked surprised for a moment but that look quickly faded into rage.

"Ara iya! Run!" she hissed at them.

They wasted no time scattering, Russel and 2D ran into his room, Damon ran back into the Kong, and Jamie hid behind a car, while Noodle hid in bunker her back pressed to the wall. She heard Murdoc's bago door slam shut and him grumbling and swearing to Satan as he threw the door of Kong open and walked in. She prayed that Damon found a good place to hide. She waited for a few minutes to make sure he wasn't going to come back out before abandoning her hiding place. Jamie had already abandoned his post and was calling down to Russel and 2D that the coast was clear.

"That was too close," Russel said. "2D's not coming out says he doesn't feel well."

"Hope Damon found a place to hide Murdoc looked pissed." Jamie said.

"What was he watching Noodle?" Russel asked turning to her.

"Ato shabon gakugeki!"

"Come again?"

Damon ran out of Kong waving a tape over his head.

"You're not going to believe this! The people that gave Murdoc his new Winnie put a camera in there facing the door incase someone tried to steal it again, but Murdoc hit it and made it shift so it's facing the couch and the TV. The people in the back end gave me the tape when I was hiding there and they said it has shots of Murdoc watching some soap opera!"

Everyone stared at Damon like he had sprouted six heads and started singing some Barney songs. They all stared at the tape like it was some sort a holy object.

"Are thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?" Russel asked with a sneer.

"Blackmail," Jamie said grinning.

Murdoc burst into the carpark and spotted them instantly, he walked over to them slowly and angry. Everyone smiled at him.

Oh hello Murdoc, watch anything interesting on TV lately?" Jamie asked.

Murdoc looked startled. Damon waved the tape and sneered.

"I'll say so," he said.

"Murdoc your little secret is out," Noodle informed him.

Murdoc's face turned red.

"Blackmail material on Murdoc huh?" Russel mused scratching his chin. "I like the sound of that…"

Each person mocked his evil sneer as they turned to him. Murdoc moved faster then they believed possible he seized the tape.

"DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT TELLING ANYONE!" Murdoc roared as he ran into his bago.

"Oh, I got copies," Damon said innocently. "That was one of the many tapes the backend made…"

Okay, I know it was stupid but practice makes you better, I was shooting for humor but I lost touch at the end and wandered off…not really funny anymore…and the ending was to abrupt…sorry…thanks for reading this though! I don't expect you to review! Ta!
